117 Zoes on Autotrader, of which half are white; 1/4 black, blue & grey 15% each, and red just 4. So bonus points for a Zoe spot that isn't white??
Egads, what has the word come to when all cars seem to be either white or silver ? Yes my Ion is silver too, but only because that's all I could find in my area, I would have much preferred Red!

I'm just waiting for a nice bright yellow EV
Simon, I very much approve of a bright red EV...
I tend not to get overexcited about cars that look like this, but I did come across it the other day as collateral interest from a search on the Lotus Europa spotted by James (hell razor) the other day.
This was based on the Lotus Europa S (not the cuter littler sixties icon) and labeled the Dodge Circuit, but swiftly became one of the Corporate Electric vehicle executions so loved of the US motor indusrtry. Not yellow, or likely to be the slightest bit affordable for the man in the street, but an interesting aside in the electric vehicle story, and definitely bright!

Bonus points due for an "Energy Blue" Renault Zoe in Newbiggin....not the very latest which has ditched the blue badge at the front but one exactly like this
Citroen used to have a colour like that called Olympic Blue - I'm not one for bothering about car colours, but I really liked that, and I always wanted a BX 16V in that colour...!
Followed a white Zoe some way to work this morning (yes, white, who would have guessed!) and I could not tell whether it was the 40kWh model or not. I don't think I noticed a blue badge so it must have been ?
It had two under 10 kids in the back and looked like it was going to the school I work at to drop them off... (although I split off and took a different route to where I park so didn't actually see them stop there...)
Sitting behind the Zoe at the traffic lights was eerie silence as neither of us was idling... Normally I hear the car in front and beside me idling even with the windows up due to the silence of the Ion while stationary, but nothing was heard this time. Quite relaxing actually.

Yes tyre noise is a major factor on any car at 40mph or above, with cheaper tyres and coarse surfaces making them extra noisy.
I notice the reduction in tyre noise since fitting the new Vredestein's on the rear of my Ion, and if I drive onto smooth tarmac from some "standard" coarse seal the noise drops even further.
At speeds of 20 and below though EV's can be remarkably quiet. I'm able to drive into our driveway without our nosy neighbour hearing us and peeking out the window - completely impossible in the Xantia.
In fact a couple of times when Sara has been home working in our garden near the driveway I've driven in and stopped on the driveway with her not noticing at all and she has been startled when the door slammed just a few metres behind her.
