Or just replace it with a CF card and interface insteadof the Hard Disk and reload the latest firmware on it.Lepetitnicolas01 wrote: ↑12 Nov 2022, 10:52 Salut tout le monde.
Très bonnes explications.
Le disque dur de mon NG4 (TOSHIBA MK4050GAC 40GB) est mort.
Je cherche une image du disque dur pour pouvoir restaurer mon système ?
Je vous remercie de votre aide.
Salutations.

Re: Guide to Replacing the NG4 Navidrive 3D Hard Drive with a CF Card
Unfortunately, After replacement I had one restart. I will replace EEPROM. On other forum read about it and NG4 also could have this problem.
EEPROM locate under HDD box and should be take apart that make dump and replace.
Which EEPROM chip I used will comment later.

Hello... Our Peugeut 3008 with the NG4 unit has suffered total hard drive damage. I could not make an image of it. Do you have a link where I could download an image file or the data archive? Greetings Philipp

No sorry - by the time this sort of thing happens, it generally too late for most people. Your best option if your unit is rebooting or asking for a system CD is to try the HDD replacement with CF card in the guide. The firmware will create the partitions and install the operating system files for you as part of the process. It's the cheapest way also and if it doesn't work, you have only lost the cost of a CF card and and IDE adaptor.

Re: Guide to Replacing the NG4 Navidrive 3D Hard Drive with a CF Card
Sorry, no. I never needed it as I had my original Hard Disk intact / preserved perfectly working after deciding to upgrade with CF Card. I then passed the original working Hard Disk on to the new owner, as I had no need of it.

Re: Guide to Replacing the NG4 Navidrive 3D Hard Drive with a CF Card
Why don't you just undertake the CF card modification?
Assuming there are no errors internally on the chips, then the firmware will recreate all necessary partitions on the CF Card for you as part of installing the operating system.

If anyone will find chip for replacement 24AA64T-E/ST - you can use it with extended temperature diapason until 120C
I did it.
