If you are at a scrappy take a look at all Citroens of a similar age for the CC Stalk (and possibly the automatic mirror). The CC stalk in my C5 is from a Xsara Picasso.

The same stalk is in some Fiat vans, as that is where the one in the Berlingo came from

Ah, but be aware that the Peugeot and Fiat (I only have found this bit out) stalks have the Limit position, which the Citroen cars do not recognise (so see the switch as having one ON position, and two OFF positions).

I did wonder about that, so cruise only, no speed limiter?? Basically James I'm finding stuff on eBay, the very few scrap yards are a joke around me.

The speed limiter is accessed from the button on the end of the wiper stalk, and (as far as I can tell) is not actually a limiter but a warning when the set limit is exceeded. If I can I will pop into my nearest scrappy this Tuesday or Wednesday (which, because of work, is my weekend). If they have the bits I will see what I can do.

There are a few in this ebay sale, but (if you can specify) you want one with only on/off function, and not limit;

I have tried ones with the limit function in my 2004 C5 VTR, but it only sees the switch as on/off/off, not on/off/limit. My Lexia is running Diagbox 7.15 (and can fully access my C5).

I need to check the N/S for all the wiring first James, I forgot all about that until I just re-read you post about it.

I've found a cruise/limiter switch for £20 and a Morrison for £25, but again I need to check the wiring, which I'll do one afternoon when I get home from work.

Morrison? Auto spell checker getting Auto mirror wrong, I take it?

Checking the wiring is a matter of a few minutes (and that is if you take your time). Just peel back the carpet in the passenger foot well, look up at the brake mechanism and you should easily see the switches and wiring.

Spotted an X7 Tourer I'm interested in last night, so she may not be around much longer......... we'll have to see.

the X7 is down south, so if anybody is interested in this C5, shout now and IF the deal goes ahead, I might be able to drop it off.

Well the change to an X7 is likely to go ahead, I'm going down to Luton to have a look at one on Thursday, It's a 2 owner car, the first one being a deal in Oxfordshire, who (according to sources, "had every conceivable option" put on it. the second owners has had it since then.

Luton? Land of very dodgy motors Steve! Do, seriously, take care... I'd never buy a car from anywhere within a 10 mile radius of the place.

Shame it's a Thursday as I'll be at work but if you’re passing by my way late afternoon do call in for a cuppa and a cake ;)

It's a Luton Postcode Jim ;)

We have friends who live 10 mins away, so I'm planning to stay with them overnight and the drive back early doors friday to try and avoid the Bank Holiday traffic.....
