Denso tape is wonderful stuff
I've used it in the past to protect underground electrical connectors... It's very mucky to use but its benefits well outweigh its greasiness...

So *that's* what it's called! Have come across it on buses before but never knew what its name was. You learn something every day.

It was the greasyness that provided the water barrier at sea. Years of salt water and boat painters tendancy to paint everything just peeled off when needed.

I've made a note of it in my Xantia spreadsheet.
I was going to order it today but Kelvin just spent a bomb in the vets and I think he might do it again mid next week. Also I'm going to the dentist again tomorrow. We're both fine though, it's mostly preventative treatments and drugs.

Actually scrap that, I just googled it as Davie suggested.
I have many many large rolls of that in the plumbing section of the stores.
I'm sure if 8 little strips for my spheres went walkies it wouldn't cause any bother.

Somebody stop me, I'm wondering how cheaply I can get that project in the for sale section up to Cheshire
Surely somebody closer could make use of it as a project/winter driver? And where would I keep it when it got here? And what would I tell the better half?
Seriously though, it's a nice colour and I would love it but I don't think we could keep 3 in all honesty. White is nearly finished though I suppose, just a persistent airbag light to attend to when I rewire my 30-pin Lexia plug and a good clean. She's even MoT'd to December...
But I like having Black & White... But it's a lovely colour... ugh lol

Don't worry Dan, you're amongst good company

I do understand as even I could be tempted again but I must resist...

I think this would lend itself well to being a project of yours Jim, in the same way as I've done with White you could just fettle it when you have a moment and end up with a nice TD again after a few months.

It's a lovely thought Dan but I'm not taking on any projects now until I fully retire at least...
Besides, I have a big enough project just keeping my Activa in fine fettle and currently with all my cycling and running activities I just don't have the free time now to play cars very extensively...
Looking after my two plus three bikes and my daughter's two keep me busy enough and satisfy my lust and need to play spanners for now
That may change over time, we'll see
But for now...

I'm only encouraging you so I don't buy it. I love that colour and the car is way more sensible than the V6. I'm a one car man now though and I'm choosing smile factor over sense/economy and all that other nonsense. If only Kelvs could have his own car.

It's certainly going that way - unless Alasdair wants it of course

I didn't think Alasdair did diesels or rust.
You're stuck with it Dan!
