I hope you're joking Jim!
I think Guy wanted to get the panel sent today too, will try another way later (using the missus' paypal to make a transfer, if that's possible) otherwise it'll have to be another trip into town tomorrow morning.

Glad to hear it, would hate to think the forum were struggling financially as well as with the current TT divide that's going on...
Not much to report on the Xantia front except for a trip to the beach on Friday evening, a darn good wash & wax Saturday evening and a trip to Smallwood vintage rally on Sunday (albeit sadly parked amongst the general modern stuff in the public car park). Got some new registration plates made up while we were there. Not strictly legal with the Euro stars & French 'F' at one end and the lettering in Irish font as that looks closer to French IMO. Will look tidier than whats on there though.

No, I can safely say, as ex-treasurer of this very forum, that the financial state is very healthy...
Those plates sound good Dan.. We'll need to see a GOTO soon
My Activa plates aren’t strictly legal either - font is OK but the spacing is not... But then, like yours, it's a lot closer to legal than many private plates...

Ahh, the Activa plate... Is this the one Dommo's dad mentioned when we spoke at Knypersley? That, if it's the A suffix I'm thinking of, has to be the ultimate Xantia private plate!
Speaking of not-so-legal private plates, one of the first I remember seeing as a teenager was on a Xantia too strangely. K11 VGK spaced & with a screw in the right place so as to read KING K. (and so different from how it should have been that I thought for a while it was K1 NGK.

That's the one Dan

Had the plate a few years now... My Activa used to wear N2XAN previously and that one is still on an Activa... The near-identical twin of mine...
Here's mine:
You can clearly see the spacing is wrong...

Might be worth swapping to legal spacing Jim.
The fine is potentially big and the DVLA can recall the plate if you get a fine.
It's worst cased but I think I'd get some nice legal ones and use the current naughty ones at shows etc.

Oh boy, I want the smoky white TD in the for sale area!
fingers crossed we can work something out to become custodians of a monochromatic pair of Xantiae!

Wow, can't believe it... All being well there should be a tidy but smoking white SX taking pride of place next to the black beauty in a couple of days....

Re: Tales from beyond the grave AKA Dan & Emma's Black Xantia D-auto... & a 206
Congratulations.
I'm pleased that went to you, it's got some choice upgrades that one.
If you can get hold of some original seats for it after you rehome the leather to your black one they are the best Xantia seats.
Well 2nd best, cloth Activa seats followed by cloth VSX seats are the most comfortable in my opinion. They go lower than the electric ones as well which I like a lot.

Ah yes, not sure if we'll go that far but it'd be nice to have the original seats "available" to go back in the black car one day. Storage would be the issue there though, I'm already in enough trouble filling the garage up haha (although a lot of the bulkier stuff is only low spec 206 parts so maybe could be evicted to make room
)
I like the early grille on the white car. That's one thing I'd really like to have one day, a really early S1 sinker... Getting ahead of myself there though, these pair look good enough to keep on the face of it & if the aircon either works or can be persuaded to do so on the white car it'd make it a better summer car along with cloth seats and being white/non-sunroof. We're entering dangerous territory here, a Xantia (a good one especially) is an addictive car to own!
God forbid I ever happen upon an affordable Activa project close by...

Yep, it's an addiction.
Never accept a ride in a Cx, Bx, Xm, Ds etc or it gets worse.
Actually do accept the ride, it's a good addiction.

Haha, already want a CX, BX, SM etc etc & wouldn't mind an XM hatch although I have bad memories surrounding the break... aegri somnia ? Or perhaps it keeps us sane.
