Hello. DickieG, is it possible to inform or send a picture about the location of a "additional sensor on the thermostat housing located on the underside"?
I have all the symptons, i changed the electric thermostat to mechanic one, the temperatures are fine on the OBD reader, and still now and then, especially now In fantastic winter of finland, the "engine temperatures too high" appears althought the temperatures is fine.
I was thinking of another sensor which gives the false info to the computer. Could be this.
Thanks

Hi. First post on here. Had code P0598 on my daughters 2007 C2 and found corrosion on contacts of yellow thermostat temp sensor located under thermostat housing. In my ignorance, assumed sensor was a separate part and attempted to twist and remove only to discover its moulded in, so removal snapped the sensor wiring and is unrepairable. Not overly bothered, as think the corrosion was the cause of my fault code, so changing anyway.
