Right, confession time! I've just checked your spec. again and completely forgot yours is a 2010 model, where they removed a few functions ( ) So I stand corrected on the following Ben - you are quite correct, for some obscure reason they removed the rear passenger footwell lights and they also removed the indexable external mirrors (they won't dip in reverse gear on the left or right hand mirror, which mine do on the year earlier model).

So don't be looking for the rear under seat lights as they aren't there!!
You can demote me now

Typical! The newer the car the better the toys I'd like to think. It's a shame cause we be reverse dip mirror is the thing I really miss from my 16yr e36 BMW!

Thanks for letting me know before I started rummaging under the seats!

Yes, my 2003 C5 had an indexable mirror. Quite useful at times but not something I weep buckets about.

On my Mark II, I had the passenger indexable mirror, but on the X7 (or my model at least) both the driver's and the passenger one do this. Great for saving the alloys from getting kerbed!

So the interior LEDs arrived today \:D/ but what a job it was to get the interior lighting units off! Fear of breaking the plastic stopped me being too rough with it, but in the end frustration followed and a good push at the silver clips allowed the unit to spring out! Then once I unplugged the connectors, I could get a small flat blade in and lever off the transparent lens - no way was that coming off as per the manual without taking the unit out!

So I've now got purple interior front and rear courtesy lights :yeah: and ice blue front and rear map lights that match the 4 under seat / footwell ice blue lights. The number plate lights came out easy, but covered in green algae, so they had a clean and these bulbs were replaced with Ice White LEDs.

Then it chucked it down  So boot light will have to wait along with piccies. Total cost £8.83 for 12 of these (4 Ice White, 6 Ice Blue and 2 Purple):

I'm now sifting through a stack of HP19W options for the angular lighting and swotting up on Ohm's law to get the resistance right :spock:

Hang on, your Avatar (or Smiley) is in the wrong Sci-Fi Galaxy! I thought Star Trek and Star Wars were mutually exclusive!
