Bear in mind I'd never seen the C4 GP before, it still took me a very short time.
That filter in the video looked too white to me -a knock off cheapy one methinks. The proper ones contain activated carbon, so should be slightly grey in colour to start with. The originals certainly are - so I wouldn't expect the one he's put in for a fiver to do much purifying!

There's both with and without activated carbon available from Citroën.
C5 X7's always get active carbon filters as OE.
I have various repair handbooks and wiring diagrams for C5 mk1, Xantia, XM, Berlingo and C3 mk1.
I have Lexia/Diagbox (Sweden) and Servicebox/sedre

Well I hope they do things better in Sweden. A lot of the complaints we get here are whether they are actually replaced - especially when asked to be done and paid for as part of the service. I'm aware that the pollen filter isn't included as part of the service here - that you have to ask for this - mine included - where I have changed it myself after a year of when it was supposed to of been done and it is absolutely filthy. I suspect that they never passed the request on and simply did the service.

That's interesting to know though about the charcoal and non-charcoal version. The reason I did mine was I had this horrible 'sweaty' smell every time the car heater was on and despite lots of air treatments and Air Conditioning Bombs it never went away. That's when I replaced the filter and saw the muck that told me this was not replaced 12 months ago!

At least at all the Citroën dealers I've worked at, we have changed the pollenfilters according to the service schedule. Usually every 12 months.

I. He led after querying it (at least on the UK) and they say they don’t do it unless asked as part of the service. I think they have different service levels and costings dependent upon country.
