The pictures above show the dipped beam on too, so obscures the side lights. It might help just to turn side lights on only and then take a snap.

I'll try to get them today. I just wanted to show how the simple yellow original W5W can impact it. Even if the dipped one is on it cannot "drown" the yellowness of it.

I'll try to get one in daylight as well to see how visible they are.

I bought some W5W LED bulbs a year and a bit ago and put them in the front sidelamps of the C5 I had then. Prices have gone up a bit as I paid £1 for four, postage included!

I bought them from these people but there are countless others and cheaper if you're willing to wait for them come over from China.

Your headlight bulbs look ok (from the previous pictures) - i.e. they are filament bulbs at least! I'm contemplating some fog upgrades for mine, but this is proving a difficult job (after checking the bulb type by removing the light housing, I ended up with water getting in the fitting - so had to order another fog lamp unit  ). I'll be a bit more careful next time. The balance it getting something whiter and legal!

I think Philips makes a replacement for the foggies. They are whiter, but if I recall correctly they are a bit pricey.

And Hoggers I get you... I really do. It drives me nuts. Problem is the DRLs are simply a bi%&$ to replace and only some of our zen forum companions have been able to withstand the stress of replacing them.

18 Pounds a piece for Philips White Vision ones. Philips makes a LED kit as well but those are plain robbery. A pair of led H8s are no less than 110 pounds.

Those extreme ones will be the complete units though, the complete housing and need to be wired in, hence the expense. They'll be legal because you are replacing the complete housing unit designed for an LED.

Yeah, just what I though. For bulbs that I will only use when foggy, which is rare, both alternatives are bad. The cheaper one will still set you back 36 pounds for a set. That you will use 5 times a year...

Just if you're curious:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-12360W ... philips+h8

and:

https://www.amazon.co.uk/Philips-X-trem ... philips+h8

I don't see any housing on the LED bulbs, but the LEDS are mounted sideways so it will probably use the already existing reflector to light instead of illuminating directly forward.

I'm also looking at changing my angular lighting, typically, it's different again on the Xenon version than the halogen headlamps, so not an easy swap as they are HP19 bulbs, so If I want a crisper whiter output to match the Xenons and sides, it will have to be a modification and some resistors as they are 19 Watts and will flash of not loaded properly.

Sorry I was thinking of these, wrong ones!

These are road legal, but those Exreme ones don't state road legal on the specs, just had a look.
