Just let me know if you don't end up sorting it, I'm sure we could provide a good home and be able to make something work for it. (wanted either a 504 or 305 for many years, we're not far from you either so could happily collect) haha

Just kidding of course, but if you do ever consider selling or hear of a possible project reasonably local to us then please do let me know as it's kind of an ambition. :)

Best of luck sourcing the correct part, there must be something out there!

Hey, I've not given up on it just yet!
Here's a few pics. Picking it up and the start of the rear wing repairs...

Wow, that wing's come out well. Looked really badly creased so hats off to the panel beater... I'm sure you'll find a solution to the strut top, will be following this with interest. Nice to see some more older French metal popping up on here recently, long may it continue.

Hey guys, thanks for the tip on peugeotparts. He has one available but it is £88. I considered buying it but my friend has got in touch and he's a bit of a wizard fabricator and is going to make me a pair at a more reasonable price.

That would likely have been my preferred route, at least if something can be knocked up it can be made extra-solid to last more than a paltry 31 years :rofl2:

It's not been that long either! The vehicle has been sat in a shed for 10years. The other strut I discovered to have a proper bodged up affair, looked like a bean tin welded to a flat piece of steel.

I'll post pics of the finished top mounts. Perhaps get word around, it may save more saloons as this must be a reason so few around.
