Thanks. I would be really surprised if the sound came back after activating the AM waveband (had deactivated it last year )

Just curious - is there a reason why you would want to deactivate the AM as opposed to just not listening to it - or am I missing something here?

Avoiding an extra step when going around modes and freeing some memory. I do the same with my PC - remove all keyboard layouts except from ones i use.

Nik - do you have wifi access on your laptop whilst connected up to the car? I'm thinking it will be a lot easier to dial in and check out the settings directly, whilst being able to refer to resources here.

If so, download and install Teamviewer 11 from here (it is free for private use) and let me know if you want to proceed. I can't really see any easy way to do this - I have different vehicle options for a start so cannot compare your car with mine - but I may be able to check my configuration tables against your spec and see if the options seem right.

There's nothing to it Nik - once installed and you are connected to the internet, you just provide me with your unique ID number, and when we are ready to connect, just email me the pass code. The pass code changes each time the software is launched for security. That's it. We can then chat via the on-screen message system.

In the meantime, I will run off some notes for your car and go through what I think your options should be coded to, based on your spec. It would help also if you could think back and try to remember what other sections you may have gone into.

Managed to fix the sound level adjustment by changing Hi Fi amplifier settings from Absent + Multiplexed to Absent + Standard

Sound from parking sensors is slightly different but at least it works.

I think I will end up taking it to the dealer for the 100k service and ask if they can update the firmware as they will be running (and charging) for a diagnostic anyway.

Ok thanks for letting me know, I'll stop the work I am doing on cross referencing options with my car in that case. The HIFI Amp configuration data table was amongst those that I had completed.

I am pleased you have returned it so somewhere nearer to what it should be. Whilst you are at the garage you can query the phone issue you were trying to resolve initially.

Fixed after a year!!! Changing the circled option from "Yes" to "No" did the trick.

Yes, that's not a valid function for an C5 X7 - I've had a similar issue with another member who changed several of these options and his car lit up light a Christmas Tree as none of these are applicable to this model.

What is the "Light Pack" unit by the way?

Because they are conflicting options as they are meant to be set for vehicles with a different head unit that controls some features differently to the X7 (including Peugeot models). Some vehicles control some options via the multifunction screen where the X7 has a separate instrument panel secondary display to control some of these.

As for the ‘Light Pack’, that should be the Ambient lighting system.
