 Ive started a new thread in "Handy Hints and Tips" titled "Mounting a Camera & Screen to view your pedals"
for those that might be interested all up cost about £50 which is a lot better than the Motability specialists that quoted me £1,000.00
supplied and fitted. fitting takes about 2 hours if your well organised.

I can see the pedals on the 2cv they are not so closed in and easier to operate.
and I don't drive it at night either.

I'd be tempted to keep the 2CV as a fun car Nigel ;)

its not moving yet Jim there is a Xantia parked nose in
in the way. #-o and I do so enjoy driving it in the summer months, big smile on yer face
especially in the corners and at roundabouts. :rofl2:

The MoT tester for Pleiades was very impressed with its clean condition last year :)

when he brought the car back he said it was the cleanest one he had seen for years no rust.

But I am afraid my days of dreaming of touring the continent in her roof down or towing her behind
the big car have dwindled now, besides the laws for towing her with an A-frame have changed.
it would have been very handy for MOT's at Pleiades as well.

as my Dad would call it its not pristine its called a good everyday car.

you may be right there Jim she is MOT'd and insured and a bit of tax brings much joy when the weather warms up.

Was offered 2K for it a while back and I did regret saying no for a while, but a little tinker with the engine and the dream re-lives.

Well I sold the 2 cv in October 2017 I've also been given a miracle drug called duloxetine to treat painful neuropathy it has the side effect of weight loss, I've lost 3 stone in two months and my weight is still dropping. This has taken a lot of pressure off my legs and feet and reduced my sugars to. This sugar reduction has repaired the nerves in my legs and feet a lucky break really its nice to be able to feel the pedals again.

Nigel, that's very excellent news on the health front :)

May the good progress continue right through 2018 and at this rate I reckon you'll be back riding your bike before long ;)

So Sorry to hear about your neuropathy. Last year I spend 6 months on the wheelchair from diabetic neuropathy. Completely gave up eating carbs, went on full ketogenic diet and intermittent fasting. All my nerves have healed up and my sugars have become completely normal, without needing any medicines. Maybe it might help you too.
