They were standard low wattage incandescents Marc.
I would include some method of regulating the luminosity if I ever get round to doing it. Phototransistor at the very least.
Still messing around with them in the house. Progress is glacial.

A labour of love Steve - I had the footwell ones on my MKII facelfit and changed all those bulbs too. Disco notwithstanding 8-) these are similar to the LEDs I fitted to the interior floor lights, under seating and pavement lighting. Wasn't quite brave enough to do the interior lights with the same colour as I didn't particularly want to be lit up like a Christmas Tree having a coffee!

I'm going to change them again for amber / orange ones when I can source them, for a more subtle effect. They're about a £1 each, but reduce to about £3.60 for 8.

I think I would just be using discrete amber LEDs fairly widely spaced for a more even ambient effect.

Have a look at this thread - This was part of a 2010 Tourer DIY upgrade project. There is no wiring in place for the under seat lights. The lighting modules had to be ordered and the wiring had to be taken from the pavement lighting and wired in parallel.

Ya it did not come with the auto dipping rearview mirror as well , a way of saving some pennies I suppose.

It's no great loss. There's many a time when I wish I could manually dip the mirror when the sun is low and streaming in through the back window.

It doesn't actually dip, but it's electrochrome, so progressive dimming dependent upon the light entering from the rear of the car. Works really well, and the rear blind also keeps out annoying ambient light.

My C5 Mk1 did not have an auto dip mirror, but (as she has auto wipers) the wiring was in place (just a simple two wire power feed, as the mirror does the work itself; no need for a Lexia session) I was able to pick one up from a scrap yard for £10. Plugged in the lead, fitted it into place, and Hey Presto!; one auto dip rear view mirror.

But not, in my experience, during the daytime!

That's odd Paul - mine does - exactly the same with the wing mirrors - they darken in extreme lighting - a very handy feature and here's a couple of pics that I've just taken in the sunlight to show with the 'Auto' setting switched on:

And by the way, those genuine Citroen coat hanger accessories that you can see behind my headrest are a fantastic idea. Often seen in the C6 - just had to get one.

It was definitely nor working like that on my Mk1 so perhaps it was fixed by the time of the X7. Maybe I've not been in a position to notice yet even though I've had it for nearly a year and a half now. The 308 is really still too new for me to have noticed but maybe over the summer holidays when we'll be going to France via Luxemburg, Germany, Austria and Italy (Venice).
