Ive had a wheel bearing fail in less than 10k there is some right sh1t out there.

Does anybody remember what citronut thought of Euro Car Parts? He was less than impressed!

Yep & I couldn't agree with him more, many garages in my area have stopped using them because of the poor quality of some of their stuff. I wouldnt use them either unless i was desperate, even then it would only be a brand name. Their RTX brand starters & alternators are dreadful & its not unusual for them to be faulty straight out the box.

Yes the last starter i bought from Europarts i made sure it was a Delco Remy but they did try and push the RTX one onto me - no chance to be far Europarts are okay but like you say you need to go for the brand stuff. Ive found GSF have started to price themselves out of the market lately.

Finally sorted it last weekend.

The bearing as it happened didn't need replacing. I thought it was strange that on the MOT it said Excessive Play - Bearing rather than Wheel?

It turns out that it was the CV joint that was badly worn. Shame we changed the bearing as it was probably the factory original and bombproof. Hope the Euro or SAF one (whichever it was) is of a decent quality...
