A poll is a good suggestion and easy enough to do but let us wait a while until the designs mature a bit.

My thoughts.
Strip size, at the moment it is designed to be able to fit multiples landscape on A4 paper. Taller would reduce numbers printed/wasted space.
Why do we want it ? : In my mind two fold, One: to show the driver is a Member--------- Two: to attract New members, if so we need need the extra text.

I would argue that we are indicating that the driver is a member by displaying the sticker and promoting the group via the url.Stickyfinger wrote:My thoughts.

I do not see any need for extra text as if, like me, anyone is attracted to such logos the presence of the url is all that is needed to promote an interest.
Looks tacky with that extra text imho (sorry sticky but i disagree that there's a need for it).
You're even trying to sneak in some 'extra' text in your post ..... 'need, need'

As per your suggestion, here's a version without the top text and the bottom http://www... slightly enlarged to balance it out - logos have been balanced as well.xantiamanic wrote:On the round on ... definitely option A but without the 'help, advice, debate' or 'join the community' top/bottom line. Keep it plain and simple. Anyone interested will drop by the url anyways I would hope. Make the font the same guys, looking good.

I like the simplicity of that one a lotGiveMeABreak wrote:

The thing is, all the designs so far are excellent... I see no great problem, unless cost becomes prohibitive, in offering a selection so those who want them can choose the one they'd most like...
I reckon it's time to get hold of Russ and get some quotes for the cost of having a selection of them produced...

But.......IF you had a French car, why would the simple one get you to connect ?
It gives no info about the forum
It gives no "implied welcome"

The fact that something exists, and has a website address on it, is usually enough for people to check it out. KISS the disc, people will notice its' simplicity, the bright colours, the badges, and the address, and they will do the rest.

no they won't....

I think however, the simple "Membership Badge" for the round Tax Disk design is maybe the way/want, the strip type should IMHO be the "informer", it can by its size/layout, carry more info that can be read from a distance.

I've put a 'swatch' of this particular Disc design so far, with and without the enhanced text effect and taking onboard comments to date.

Personally, I would go for number 3 (but 5 is good as well). 1 and 2 might get rejected, as we have decided to leave the EU!

I rapidly loose interest in something that's too 'busy' but then that's just me but I am in agreement with James on this though...
My problem is with my brain having too much information to process in one go causes it to loose the plot...
Marc, of the new 6 you produced, number 3 works for me... I don't care for the shading around the text on number 4... 5 is not bold enough...
My final choice would be your left one for the rectangular Alasdair and your latest number 3 for the circular one Marc...

Re: Forum promotional cards / stickers
Although I generally appreciate simplicity, in this case I am in favour of having a descriptive phrase. There are on-line forums and there are on-line forums, I would rather give the impression that we are not a tune-em louder (etc) crowd.
For the round versions, I prefer the url at the top and descriptive phrase at the bottom.

Thanks for all the feedback so far - it's certainly dusted off the Photoshop brain cells!

For the front disc number two would have my vote - but should not the DS badge feature as well. Who knows, in the future DS may become as popular as the chevrons.GiveMeABreak wrote:
