My vote would be for a 'light' version of stickys, without the strap line along the top. And similarly the taxdisc with just a www. line under the three vertical bands. I'm not a supporter of the ds logo or horizontal website text preferring it to run under the logos. Guess this sort of planning needs a vote put up on the forum.

xantiamanic wrote:Why are people talking about a separate DS logo? Surely it's just a citroen otherwise why cant we have Xantia, XM. et al. I'm for just the three as we have now with limited text
Because DS Automobiles is a brand, not a model. They separated from Citroen, hence no chevrons on the newer models :-D So that was the reason why I asked the question.

For the round one I like the background flag with wavy lines, the three logos across the middle and www.frenchcarforum.co.uk round the bottom in lower case, and a retangular one with wavy lines, the three logos across the middle and www.frenchcarforum.co.uk across the bottom, leaving the manufacturers logos clear, not the writing above them. No other writing on them. If someone could mock that up for me just to see I would be grateful.

We have not discussed the selection process, but I think it is safe to say that the design will be chosen by the site admin team, based on the consensus (if any) here.

EDIT : On the strip, I know graphic wise the FCF font is not the best but it will be better "seen" even in a moving car I think.
I will also do one and post) as per the round to compare.

I am not really liking the font on the rectangular design. It looks a bit 'cheap' somehow.

As an aside, we do have the option of using frenchcarforum.com as the URL, as that redirects to the .co.uk site and we could masks it our default URL.

Ok, I've finished the requested changes on this design - here they are side by side. I haven't done anything on a rectangular one.

I have to say I like option A. Nice, clean, and not fussy.

On the round on ... definitely option A but without the 'help, advice, debate' or 'join the community' top/bottom line. Keep it plain and simple. Anyone interested will drop by the url anyways I would hope.

Same on stickys but without the top line and a common 'www' or not as in keeping with the round disc.

Make the font the same guys, looking good.

I'm almost out :(

At a push ... i'd go for 1 but needs botom font reduced so that we can clearly see the logos and no other spurious text to distract.

I like the font to be smaller and needing to be viewed close up by any 'interested' parties attracted by the logo itself.

Keep it simple.

Sticky, I am preferring your rectangular one with the URL in dark font. How did you choose the form factor? How about making it a bit taller so the URL does not overlap the logos so much?

Of the round ones, I think your one on the right is the most pleasing to my eye.

Stickyfingers rectangular one with the black font, but a bit taller as V6 suggests but without the writing on the top. The round one with black font, no top writing, the marque badges in the centre, the frenchcarforum on the bottom. I would have the citroen badge in the middle, renault on left and pug on the right.

Like minds Davie but i dont think all of this 'suggesting' is going to end up in a concensus so t'management will get the final say.

At the minute i'm not liking any of the suggested designs (i have suggested moreorless what you have indicated) and with 5 cits doubt i'll be a purchasee.

Let's wait and see the final, final, final design.

I'm not liking the .com idea .... .uk looks far nicer and spaces better around/along the bottom line.

I did suggest an online poll, maybe that's a way to resolve it, but ain't got a clue how they work :)
