Yesssss....K4 looks the business!
All the bits hang together nicely. Take the point about .com .
If you do split f........ into words, only do it with a hair space (does Photoshop have hairs*?)
Great job.
* 7.5 / 60ths of an em space, iirc. Long time since I had to justify lead type!

Ok, here's another one - the old K4 and the K4b with spaces beetween the FCF words as Sticky says - and in that case, I've also Initial capitalised the FCF and removed the 'period' from co.uk for consistency as we're assuming everyone knows Just asjusted the spacing to account for extra length.

Re: Forum promotional cards / stickers
Entering w w w.French Car Forum into Google as a URL address doesn't immediately work; it jumps to Google's best guess at what was meant.
Entering w w w .FrenchCarForum does work, and goes straight to our home/login page.
So, I would suggest using the latter (caps, but no spaces) or hair spaces into the all-lower-case.
[Actually, I've grown rather fond of the lonely full-stop in co.uk ]

Re: Forum promotional cards / stickers
I've just typed both frenchcarforum and french car forum directly into the firefox address bar separately, and the first one lands at the Main page and the second shows results in Bing with FCF at the top of the list.
Consensus with family says they like the one with the spaces K4b - and they've only seen the design in the last post for the first time. I think we're getting there....

K4b but all lower case, spaces between the words, with or without the ds brand, although I'm actually coming down in favour of having it.

OK, spaces it is, then.
Caps are neither here nor there URL-wise, so let's keep those too.
K4b looks good to me too.
How about reducing the spaces between the words to something a mite smaller? The caps break the words up already.
PS - Is there room at the bottom for the words "Designed by a Committee"? 1pt type will do.

I was thinking of a tag line of: "Helping fix French cars since they rolled off the production line"white exec wrote:

Re: Forum promotional cards / stickers
Russ from over on the XM Forum has offered these three potential designs... This was following me having a natter to him about it at the Chevrons...
He is a pro at this kind of thing as many will now the reproduction XM stickers he's done in the past...
All can be heavily tweaked to meet our desires..
Extract from Russ's email to me:

I have been working on some ideas for a possible FCF sticker that we talked about. See attached for three sample ideas. Not sure if you'll like it, but it is a start at least.
Do feel free to give feed back, they wont be perfect just yet, plenty of tweaking or redesigning to do yet! If you have a size in mind, I have just picked 12cm x4cm which i think is a decent sized sticker.
I recommend getting a sample done once the design is finalised. Just to make sure it looks good in the rear window. I have found what works on a computer doesn't always look good when in the car.

Marcs K4b for me.
Instantly recognisable for non-members. It's not us we are trying to recruit....
PS, and whilst we're at it, it is possible to have the forum language as UK English and not American?

The board default language (and I think the only language pack installed) is British English. Where do you see otherwise?harryp wrote: PS, and whilst we're at it, it is possible to have the forum language as UK English and not American?

If you mean the spellcheck, right click in the posting box and select "Languages" then install "British English" and select that as default - this depends on your browser, not the forum.harryp wrote:Marcs K4b for me.
