Just make sure the injectors are tight - ive seen plenty of 1.6hdi's go miles past 100k without needing injector seals - just luck of the draw but if the injectors are tight (not how tight citroen say but properly tight) this increases your chances of having good luck.

Anyway as said keep changing the oil and enjoy

Well we went to pick it up today, what a Faff. Traffic jams and bloody road works 7 hours to do 270 miles!

Couldn't tax it on line, wouldn't accept the 12 digit new owner code, tried phone, same thing- no valid! Fot in touch with DVLA, lady said it was an old V5 and a new one was issued that was the reason why! Dealer said that was the only one he was given so we had to find the nearest Post Office.... that was closed down for refurb! Used the sat Nav POI to find the next one 4 miles away, drove there and parked , you guessed it - you need another main office to do it we can't tax it here! So I was getting agitated and asked for the damned postcode as there were another 8 listed for Peterborough and I wasn't going to be zebedee! Off we went as the flipping post office closed in 25 minutes- sat Nav was great and got us there with a few minutes to spare. The KFC manager was doing his banking so another wait..... finally got the thing taxed!

And to boot it all my bloody Air Con on the X7 packed in this morning in the sweltering 29 degrees heat! That, after a new condenser not 4 months ago!! So I'm writing this in the mother of all rip offs MOTO station having a coffee near Swindon before starting back to Wales for the final leg, another 140 ish miles to go.

At least the Picasso was a stunner, everything worked, engine really tidy, new tyres and spotless, so unless I head to the contrary hopefully they'll have made it back too! Off we go then....

Cheers Steve, back home now at 23:30 knackered! Just looked at all my predictive text errors on the last post!

Oh, and on top of all that, I think I went through a speed camera on the way back... great

Well we have it back on home ground now after that horrendous Peterborough trip last week! The car is a stunner, it looks like new on the outside and the interior is spotless. He is really pleased with it and has already put his Carlos Fandango red leather steering wheel cover on ( ). All the tyres are new and all the kit and accessories are as they should be. Everything electrical works too! No leaks in the sunroof, all the windows work and basically we were lucky to find such a well-looked after example. It puts my X7 to shame, considering all the work that's had to be done on it so far - including going into the dealer again in 2 weeks for a new Air Conditioning Compressor after the current one has failed completely!

Thanks again for the tips all. :-D

Pleased it is a good one and everyone is happy with it.

I'm sure you would anyway but as above I'd recommend a couple of oil and filter changes in fairly quick succession and possibly remove the filter from the turbo feed.

Well I do carry around a lot of memories of old adverts around with me, but I am ashamed to say that Carlos Fandango passed me by, and I've had to look it up!

Thanks Steve - First thing I suggested to them - he's over the moon with it and is already planning all the seat configurations for the next camping trip with my Sis!
