Watching Bangers and Cash on Yesterday now, chap has an Austin 16 which he has brought up to current levels of performance and driveability amazing!!

I honestly didn't notice Peter, I think he said he had fitted twin carbs and electronic ignition so no it was petrol. He had added all sorts of things to bring it up to modern speed standards as well as parking sensors and sports seats with harnesses. Probably available on catch up amd only halfway through on +1 right now!

I remember the Austin 16, I think it had leaf springs all round so they have probably changed the suspension as well. The A40 came out not long after that, I learnt to drive in the van version.

He did say he had installed anti roll bars but he didn't mention the springs. Steering and drum brakes all round without servo still as standard.
Not great bodywork but nice enough
He had fitted indicators and fog lights. It sold for £6750.00 and the new owner was in Hertfordshire so I may spot it about one day when we can go out again!!

NF only got 2 out of 3 on the geography of Great Britain on University Challenge about Areas of outstanding natural beauty shared by 2 counties, and you had to name the two counties. Didn't know where Dedham Vale was but got the other 2.
