Can you PM me your VIN so I can see which ones you should have. You will still need to code the Siemens injectors as they probably manufacture these in such high numbers like Bosch that they can't test them all individually, so they'll just make them within the tolerances and let the engine ECU adjust the fuelling - hence the codes. I believe the Siemens codes are printed on the top of the unit - but I cn find out a bit more when you get me the VIN.

I use Diagbox, but the coding area should be within the engine ECU section / configuration - have a hunt about there - it will be there as you can see from those previous posts

I too am using diagbox so will look at that later. I'm at work until later this evening I can give vin number then if needed although all injector codes have gone so I don't think it's an issue with the type of injector itself. it drives alright except for the low revs. How long would it take for the ecu to configure air/fuel mix with the new injector ? I've driven it but probably only about 2 miles all together. Bit Worried about breaking down away from home.

Once they are coded that sets the fuelling parameters, so there shouldn't be a delay.

I forgot to mention that when I was trying lexia on it yesterday I found a page that had injector correction values in 2 were at 98-99% and the other 2 were 101% from what I remember I guessed that it was normal because they were all close to the same number it also showed 71v going to the injectors ?

I still have a lot of learning to do understanding the info lexia gives me.

Lack of power after changed injector

Post by Citipug »

ok I've had a look at the turbo pipe and can't see anything wrong even while it's being revved. I still can't find the injector coding on the lexia software ? I went into configuration and manual configuration but nothing for injectors ? I cleared codes again and took it for a longer drive came back and scanned again faults showed were egr and flow meter ? I seem to get different faults each time I drive it but egr seems the most common one.

This is all I get in configure menu ?

Here is the parameter info after a drive

I've still got the issue but I've found this Image

This is the main fault code I keep getting but I've been resetting it each time I start the car ?

Does anyone know how long the learning takes ? I might try taking it for a longer drive tonight

Good idea not to keep resetting it if it is learning, or the cycle will just keep starting again. I would ignore that for now and allow it to complete - short runs won't help - it will likely need to go through a range of operating temperatures to complete the cycle. Looking at those Injector values in the pictures now, they seem very close to each other. Get your EGR checked next as you suggest.

Update - just been out to the C3 to get the dust off the Lexia Software to try and find the coding area:
  • Run a Global Test
  • When it's finished, select INJECTION from the list
  • Then select CONFIGURATION
There will be 4 options: Manual Configuration, Automatic Configuration, Calibration Ideal Reference Coding & Injector Classification.
  • Choose INJECTOR CLASSIFICATION
This will then show you a picture of an injector and the code locations. Proceed with * which returns you to the coding screen, where you can see the codes against each injector. Follow instructions at bottom of the screen to input values.
Now this is for the C3 1.6 HDi, - so I can't say for sure the exact same options will be there for your vehicle, but I can't see that it would be that different... :)

Thanks for that I will have a look but that is the area I was looking in although I was going to manual config but I'm pretty sure I only get manual config, Internet config and calibration menus but like I say I will have a look

Lack of power after changed injector

Post by Citipug »

I have just been on a longer drive around 20 miles and seemed a little better but still missing some power. I got home stopped the engine and then started again to see if there was any difference but the anti pollution message came up and a check engine light ! But while this warning was on the car seemed to Rev smoother ? I didn't want to risk driving it so I plugged a code reader in and got p2413 and p0409 (both egr related again) I erased them and the anti pollution disappeared now I just have the p2413 (egr learning) again.

I have a blanking plate for the egr coming to see if that makes a difference and I will try looking for the injector menu In lexia again as advised in previous post

Blanked the egr valve off and cars now runs and pulls better than ever ! I still get the egr fault codes on diagnostic scan so i may still have to fix/replace the egr as mine is an electronic valve so blanking may not be enough to fix it entirely but so far so good been for a couple of drives and can't believe the difference a metal plate has made car now pulls off in 3rd better than it was in 1st yesterday !

I still never found the injector coding in lexia which is a pain as that was one of the reasons I bought it ? (Although I do have 2 peugeots that need a little tlc so it will help for that) I contacted the seller who thought it might be the rpo ? But I don't think so cause if I put anything other than my rpo 11092 in I don't get any communication during any scans.

Thanks to everyone that gave advice especially Marc (givemeabreak) it is very much appreciated !!!
