Not the best day for wandering about taking pictures of bridges for the Bridges thread Gibbo, but Monmouth does have a nice one!
Here's my direction sign of the day, an odd ball survivor.

Re: 'Fingerpost' Direction Signs...
There's a bit in the NE today about strange place names in the region.
Some have been mentioned previously but here is one I used to see regularly. As my dad used to say, "All roads lead to Fryup" It certainly seemed that way some days.
Used to visit Thornton Le Dale regularly too but have never heard of Thornton Le Beans before.

A bit of "o-level" map reading will tell you exactly where this was taken...

This seems a good time to contribute to this thread!
For those with motors:
and for those without:
and an interesting array of man made erections, name these posts/poles!!

This should determine where they are, after the Cycle Way sign, and before Hartside Summit at least 3 miles past Alston off the A696, but naming posts/poles do they really have names apart from telegraph, radio/television, "communications" and fence.mickthemaverick wrote: ↑23 Jun 2023, 16:02...and a note of the highest point we reached!!

That's where they are, but you need to look closer at the centre post. It's none of your suggestions!
