That price was direct from Citroen Service - so whether the dealers are going to add a margin on for parts I can't say - but everything I've ordered from Citroen at my dealer has been in line with the price shown on Citroen Service.
The other part number used is 96542539XT which is the non PSA part number, but 6242 C3 is the Citroen part number Steve.

Well stripped the unit from the car with a view to replacing the plunger (possibly). On opening it is completely different to all the photos and diagrams I have researched. Took a good look inside and found that the ribbon cable was loose and not clamped in propery, surely nothing as simple as that?. Well it has been 5 days since the strip and rebuild and still working well. FIXED.
