I ordered from carparts4less lexi. Mr Auto are good but sometimes too expensive. I checked my purchase history on carparts4less and confirmed that I had also bought the lemforder track rod ends and drop links for the Silver V6 from them a few years ago! The ones they supplied back then were genuine types in proper packaging.

I also bought two lower ball joints from them for the Silver V6 which I never used and still have - one of them may be going into the current V6 depending on whether track rod ends and drop links cure a major rattle in the front right suspension...If not its out with the drive shaft, hub and welder at Richards for take two to get the old mashed up joint out. :rofl2:

carparts4less seem fine for buying known good brands like lemforder - just check they are supplying the correct version of the part and don't rely on the number plate parts checker to get it right! (But this is frequently the case for the number plate checker on other sellers websites too - never trust them to identify the correct parts)

That's all the parts arrived today. :) One of the track rod ends was on back order with an expected delivery of next week but arrived today at the same time by the same courier in a separate box.

They all came in blue cardboard Lemforder boxes, no plastic bags though, just loose in their boxes. The drop links have no nylock nuts supplied - I forgot that Lemforder drop links don't come with nuts. #-o (That's my third set of Lemforder drop links and none have come with the nuts)

Anyone know a good place to order a bag of suitable nylock nuts ? I think the larger thread droplinks (post 1995) are M12x1.75 threads but I'm not 100% sure. Does anyone know if there are supposed to be washers fitted as well ? I don't fancy going out and crawling underneath the car in the rain to see if the originals have washers fitted. 8-)

Edit: these look OK ?

Zinc plated. Is there a certain grade of steel that should be used for the nuts in a safety item like a suspension link ?

The axillary belt looks fine as well and says made in Italy.

That grade will do fine, 10.9 is stronger than normal.

My Lemforder drop links came in plastic sealed bag with Lemforder printed into bag. They had Nylock nuts. From ECP (same company as CP4less) a few months back. Probably means nowt of course.

Your C5 will have the later style drop links with two right angle joints ? Those ones do come with nuts, but the older Xantia ones that have one straight joint and one right angle joint don't seem to.
