Not up this way Jim, I think I have the only one left in my area. :-D

I bought my first UK Xantia in 2012 and there were still quite a few about then - I saw a few each week at random while out and about. I don't think I've seen another Xantia on the roads for over a year now, visits to forum members excluded! They really are turning into rockinghorse poo....

They're not round here either Simon. Most I see are deep down in the West country...

I've seen quite a few around here lately, tourists I expect. There does appear to be another estate the same colour and year as mine living near Bangor somewhere. Not sure if it's diesel or TCT which are the only engines offered in this colour. Like most of the others it doesn't wave back, I'm sure someone will start a thread soon "spotted nutter driving green Xantia with one hand!"

That's awful. Looks almost worth rescuing and straightening - bodywork actually looks quite good.

Our son had a BX in that colour - a 19GTi 8v - with fabulous green velour interior.
Electrics (grounding) a constant problem. If only we had known then (1992) what we know now - always the way!
Went like the wind.

We used to have M363 EWK- a 1.9TD ZX.

White one last MOT'd in 2008, and even then failed on corrosion.... only done 60k

BX last MOTd in 2011, 146k

Chris, no more pictures please, that's tragic, those 2 XMs are the same colours as 2 of my past ones, so too upsetting :bigcry:

I hoped someone might be interested in a restoration project. I know someone who restores old bikes.and the Shetland classic car show is in 4 weeks. I'll highlight their presence to him and hopefully he'll pass the info on to the car restorers.

Well fate intervened to make a liar out of me! A trip to a B&Q closing down sale in Motherwell over the weekend (yes our local B&Q is closing down  ) and I spotted my first live in the wild Xantia in over a year. :-D

Other than a dent in one corner a very tidy green 1.9TD. Is this a forum member by any chance ? Maybe even reading this thread ? :) It looked a bit too tidy to be a banger belonging to a non-enthusiast...

I waited around for a while when I came back out to see if the owner would appear but he/she was probably too busy buying armfuls of 50% marked down merchandise as the place was absolutely mobbed inside. :rofl2:

What a coincidence! I was at our Carmarthen B&Q and saw a Xantia there 2 weeks ago in good nick. They are shutting 2 stores near me too.

Perhaps old Citroen owners have a bit of a hoarders streak to them, and thus turn up at this type of sale ? I know I do. :-D

I think, to keep xantias running, you need to be a hands on person. DIY is second nature .. Therefore you should find a few in the b&q car parks around the country
