Not bought a replacement yet. The Picasso was excellent for us prior to the flood and bought really as a back up and weekend car. I really dont care for the process of buying a replacement car as this thread testifies. I think there is some excellent value in C5's but pretty much replicates my current workhorse.
I still have what I describe as "Ellesmere Port's finest" as my main form of transport. 115,000 miles ago it had its AF40 Aisin Warner 6-Speed (as fitted to innumerable other cars including Citroens/Saabs etc, Auto Box rebuilt after 60,000 miles. Co-incidentally it was also driving through flood water which was the root cause of that going kaput!.
Its been a good workhorse though, so I'll most likely just run it into the ground and pile the miles on it, I've probably done about 150,000 miles in that car so far so can't complain.
I've probably lost my deposit on the FCF not actively having a French Car, but I do of course have a shedful of bits from a couple of Xantias should my credentials be scrutinised!
Regards Neil
