And now my flight is delayed by 50 minutes. It's absolutely cooking in this departure area and can't see a way outside to cool off, and I can't take off any more clothes or I will get arrested!

I'm officially knackered. Had a nice cuppa and natter with Jim, and then went round the corner, filled up with fuel and headed for the m1 and found a car park. It took a bloody hour to do the first 5 miles.then it speeded up and slowed down all the way to the M6, which I ignored and kept on the M1.it wasn't too bad after that but a lot of time at 30 to 40 mph. The main thing is the car is running great, nice light clutch, the bite is quite low, so the first thing I did was stall it! So I was at Penrith at 21.50, 108 miles from the turn off into Glasgow, I had already phoned Bill to say I was late and would see him in the morning, the eta for the b&b was 11.31. I phoned them and said I'm going to be a bit late, they said try to get here for 11. I arrived at 11.03. I will admit to exceeding the speed limit on occasion [emoji13] like every inch of the 108 miles! I'm expecting a ticket, spotting the police car and standing on the brakes and getting 40mph off, but was I quick enough braking? Time will tell. If I do get a ticket I will have no complaints, just have to hold my hands up and say it's a fair cop, pay the fine and get the points.

So the car is an excellent cruiser, stable at speed, into 3 figures too often. The M74 is a private test track I'm sure! I loved passing a bmw 325 at ??? Mph and he couldn't keep up! I then let him past just so I could pass him again. Sometimes I think I'm still a child hee hee

Delighted to hear all is good despite the traffic Davie :D

Yes, the Activa really excels as a cruiser...

Enjoy the rest of the trip and really good to see you yesterday despite the less than ideal circumstances...

Plod Cars do not carry recording equipment David.....unless it was a MoneyVan you will be OK I would think.
Average Speed Cameras are the main concern....hence I always have a TomTom with me...and why I WILL get round to fitting cruse at some point.

Well I am awake, ready to go have breakfast, go to Bills then get on the way home. I'm really glad I did stop and have a sleep. I really would not have enjoyed the rest of the way home had I carried on. Today is going to be an anti motorway day, and I am going to enjoy it! 370 miles done yesterday, maybe 200 windy ones to do today [emoji39]

I shall post back later once home.

Safe trip back Davie. If I wasn't working in Edinburgh today I'd of got my Activa out and followed you as far as Fort William :( Would have been good to give it a run too.

Ho hum! Bills need paid!

David.
