That's true James...

Had it not been for the ongoing situation with dad I would have, on the same basis as I did Davies clutch but for the foreseeable future my workshop is now closed, even to my own cars.. Dad is taking all my time at the moment and for an indeterminate amount of time in the future too...

Davie, I need to now give it a good shake-down and then we can discuss repatriation plans...

I still have to do an oil change on it ;)

Not quite! The one job that defeated me yesterday was putting the cap back on the clutch mater cylinder... It's a right fiddly job made worse by the reservoir being directly under an aircon pipe...

Yesterday afternoon, in the wet, and still not feeling 100% I just lost the will to finish that minor task..

Today I'm feeling much, much better and almost up to replacing the reservoir cap ;)

Oh, and I have to re-fix the heater matrix feed pipe support bracketry after moving it to one side to improve access to the reservoir...

Don't overdo it doing that Jim [emoji13] Seriously though I hope you are taking things easy and only doing stuff that you can do in your current position. I feel helpless for you being away up here. I would do anything to help you if I could, but being 600 miles away makes that kind of difficult!

I told a fib in the last post. I got the cap on the master cylinder reservoir this afternoon and took the car out for an initial shake-down drive...

All is good... Clutch is very light indeed - as a new one should be - and the car overall is a very sweet one...

It's holding all its fluids...

I'll run it around a little over the course of the next few days and then, it'll be ready to go back home...

Yay! He is on the road to recovery (well, by getting one thing out of the way he has one less thing to worry about)!

There's a provisional plan due to both Jim and I having things to do (ie work) that I shall be taking a plane down on Tuesday 14th. That will be arriving in Luton approx 1pm so I shall see Jim and get a bit up the road Tuesday evening and get home on Wednesday then Thursday recovering before I work on Friday.
