Re: Davie's Activa Clutch
I was £32 for the set of two that I was assured were the correct ones Ben, but when I had to search for the longer activa/V6 specific one for the left side, I found one on ebay but was wary of getting it, the one from the dealer was £40 posted to Jim's. There are only two more in the UK then it's NFP.

Good work Jim. Dad's are more important than cars. You only get one dad, there's lots of cars. I hope he gets well soon.

Re: Davie's Activa Clutch
Huge thanks to Team WFA for their hard work this morning
Massively appreciated!
Reuniting the gearbox back to the engine was a ****** of a job as usual
Could never have done it on my own...
One problem remains. The clutch needs bleeding.. It is in hand...

Thanks Davie, Robyn and I are going down later today and hope to bring him home in the next couple of days... Lots of admin to do with care plans and such-like..daviemck2006 wrote:Dad's are more important than cars. You only get one dad, there's lots of cars. I hope he gets well soon.
Your car was a welcome distraction this morning whilst I awaited news from the hospital...
Hope to be back home toward the end of the week and crack on... The end is now in sight!

Don't burn yourself out Jim. I know you are not the best just now. Do the things that are important and leave the rest for another time.

Re: Davie's Activa Clutch
Doing your car is a therapy for me Davie... Certainly now where we're just down to reassembly.. In fact today it's been brilliant for distracting me from worrying about dad...

Re: Davie's Activa Clutch
This will be a well sorted Activa once Jim has worked his magic on it and the rear door shuts are repaired.

Re: Davie's Activa Clutch
It certainly will be Mark. For all I have driven it I am missing it. I'm saving as hard as I can just now to put it into a local bodyshop which has restored old cars in the past to get the body issues done properly. The car is worth that, no bodges here!

Re: RE: Re: Davie's Activa Clutch
Have you seen the door shuts when you've been over at Jim's? They certainly need doing. When they are cut out to get done I will get then to treat inside the sills as much as I can. Having my 205 on the road again just now has made me glad I have not sold it, the activa will get garaged for next winter and the 205 used for the spare car. It's really solid, but I would struggle to get £300 for it, so it stays unless I get really skint,Stickyfinger wrote:Good, budget for a full Dinatrol treatment as well Daviedaviemck2006 wrote: I'm saving as hard as I can just now to put it into a local bodyshop which has restored old cars in the past to get the body issues done properly.
