Davie, I believe your handbrake cable may have arrived... I have a parcel to pick up from the Post Office...

And still not heard anything!!!
Davie, your handbrake cable is here... I called into the delivery office on my way home from work on the bike... I was grateful the firm packed the cable into a smallish jiffy bag so it fitted in my rucksack but I do have a complaint...
Riding home from the delivery office (only about a mile and a half from home) I got caught in a shower of rain
Had I not had to have gone and collected it and had the original cable been the right one I'd have not got wet this afternoon

Think yourself lucky, Jim! I was going back to the van with the faulty part I had swapped out when I got attacked by hailstones!

Gosh, we are having some funny old weather... It's been mostly OK up here today and sunny for a big part of the day... That storm that got me was a real isolated one....Hell Razor5543 wrote:Think yourself lucky, Jim! I was going back to the van with the faulty part I had swapped out when I got attacked by hailstones!

Re: Davie's Activa Clutch
Been reading this with much interest. Not that it requires doing (yet?) but is the S2 HDI clutch as difficult? Does the box have to come out? I assumed it would have to....

Re: Davie's Activa Clutch
Harry, if your HDi is a 110 then the procedure is exactly the same as for the Activa... If it's a 90 then it's as per the 1.9TD and the clutch job on that is documented by me in another thread in great detail...
Yes, the 'box needs out as I found. I tried to do it with just moving it to one side but I failed...

Re: Davie's Activa Clutch
Sounds like it's worth doing the handbrake cables when doing a clutch job, for ease of access and the cable cost isn't too bad.
