This may be a double post. Just got through to the parts man at the dealer. According to the computer, and he has the reg number and chassis number, the cable is in stock at the main warehouse, but as it's an older car it may be NFP once the order is placed. He is away to order it for delivery to him tomorrow, then he shall post it direct to Sir Jim. It's a good bit more expensive than ebay ones, but mu confidence in getting the correct parts from other sources is quite, no very low at the moment for this car. Everyone thinks it's a 2.0 16v from the reg number which means most parts are wrong.

:rofl2:

Apparently my plate is worth £2600  One Private Plate mob on the Internet seems to think it's available for sale and that's what they want for it...

Before anyone asks, it's not for sale... Nor is the Activa it's attached to...

Tell you what Davie, it might be interesting to try as I do wonder how they think it's available...

It obviously is not as I've just re-taxed mine with DVLA and had no issues...

Jim, you might get a knock on your door from a bunch of heavies who may try to convince you that you really would rather sell it...

If you can't find one at all there are many companies that can make cables as a one off. A quick web search should give you lots of options. It's not something I've tried yet so haven't provided a link.

That's a good point James...

Maybe they could modify a standard one to make it longer...
