In jgra's and my case, it is the 19" Adriatique rims on our cars (currently), as seen from the picture you've posted. Regarding tyre costs, I was actually surprised that I can get the same Uniroyal RS3's for the 19" size for not even 10 GB extra per tyre, compared to the 17" size.

Mine are like those and vbs are too i think..I wonder if mine were on from factory..

My problems could all be tracking and a dodgy sphere .. will try and get tracking tomorrow this time ;)

I'm not sure I'm getting this... On the one hand you say it is really comfortable and soft, but then say it's straight lines and round corners you are having issues with?

Going round country lanes where I am, I have to engage Sport mode quite often, otherwise passengers are thrown left and right round every bend. This helps reduce the rolling considerably. Whether this is normal or not I don't know. On other occasions the suspension will be ultra absorbent soaking up all the bumps, but at other times at lower speeds a small drain or a little bit of missing Tarmac can cause it to almost 'bump' itself over the obstacle. I've always put this down to 'having a bad suspension day', but I will be interested in hearing the outcome of your sphere tests!
I've often wondered when I should consider changing them and at what mileage - from an owner view as opposed to Citroen's view of course. :?

Hmmm.. that sounds very similar Marc...
Other things.. it understeers.. it just doesn't really show any interset in cornering..
It steers straight but don't self center well..

All I have to go on is sf's car.. which just felt normal.. same suspension..

The car is by far the softest citroen I have had.. but can't handle short wavelength undulations or bumps well.. back wheels don't feel like they are talking to the front..
Also ..there is a load of brake dive ..
Not sure really.. maybe I am being to critical..

Deffo has some "short wave length" jiggle but suspension travel is as said fine. It is the little ridges etc that make it "jiggle and pitch"
Watching the bonnet line/road , my car keeps the same level ironing out all the little changes keeping smooth , this one pitches left right/up down in small movements.

Just a thought, could the two of you compare the suspension values (actuator tests - or how its called in english) with DiagBox? Or use the live data parameters to see if some inconsistencies exist? For example, I've figured out for my car that, even though there is no error currently, the Air Doser will say that the intake is clogged while doing its test (engine running) ... maybe you could trigger something that way on jgra's X7, suspension related - I don't have a car I could hook up to to see what options exists - I know on the C6 I'm working on, I tested successfully the raising and lowering of the front and rear independently, it should have some extensive testing with parameters readout available?

Good idea vb.. kinda of need 2 people per car and the same but of road.. I did see some parameters last night ..roll and yaw etc but couldn't really record them :(

is there anything in the diagbox that can record parameters? or is it a case of videoing the laptop screen while driving? what is the measurements tab?

You have an option of graphing, which will create graphs live, but afterwards you'd have just a static image of it ... it is usually on the first page of any ECU, you have standard tests and then personalized tests (or something along those lines), where you can select what you want/need (among a fair number of options), and when you run it, you'll get a joint graph until you stop it (at that point, only print screen can capture it, no print option like on other standard pages in DiagBox) ... my reasoning is, if the car doesn't see the error while in normal ode, perhaps it can see something, while an exact action is carried out (i.e. rising the suspension, and then it might say that something is stuck or whatever - don't know the extent of AI the car has) ...

Just a thought, what tyres are the wheels shod with, some of these cheap Taiwanese tyres are just dangerous.

Yes - it is weird and seems to have a mind of its' own! I think all of us here chipping in with X7 info have H3+ systems (except Vab & Vab fan?) and not the V6 engines with the additional suspension ECU and adaptive damping - the only other difference I could think off is the Tourer v Saloon (mine) for suspension reference heights etc. I think I'll have to go to meditation lessons to learn how to astrally project myself into the passenger seat with the Lexia running while I'm driving to get some readings! Om....

@SaabC5: I have just fitted Michelin Cross Climates to the Front (17" Baltic).
