Checked on viamichelin, 19:15 hours ... with stops of course ... and the one-way trip cost of 120 GBP and roughly 1100 miles ... you need to return back as well ... that would be almost 1/6 of the whole service interval on the car ... just to get it serviced "cheaper" ... :D

Whoever wants to come over, sure, why not ... the food is good, the prices really cheap (from your perspective) ... if you can hook a trailer of somekind while you're at it, it might make your trip really worthwhile (financially) ... :D

Vb....we will make that decision, you just provide the entertainment/accommodation, tour guide, beer, women and do the wires on the Sat Nav upgrade :)

Here's your checklist:

- entertainment (you name it, from the 4D cinema, bowling, paintball, biking, hiking, swimming, tennis, disc-golf ... we've got you covered here)
- accommodation (4 good hotels to choose from, and some other lower class accommodation available as well)
- tour guide (me personally, or would you prefer qualified staff?)
- beer (how does 140 worldwide kinds to choose from in one place sound?)
- women (no comment, since this is a public, family-oriented forum ... :D )
- and do the wires on the Sat Nav upgrade (you won't find a better guy than me at this department ... :D )

Well, I had the high pressure hose replaced.....and it still leaks!
Garage reckon its the low pressure hose as the leak is where the two pipes fit onto the rack. He says there's no evidence of a leak on the input shaft.
At £450 for the first hose and a quote of £220 for the second, its getting expensive!!

Whats the chances it actually IS the rack and it needs replacing.........that's one hell of a costly leak don't you think?!

I hate to say it, but I think that's one reason why they just replace the whole thing - by the time you've got the pipes sorted, you might shortly end up with the notorious leak at the union input shaft and the job to do again.

Homer wrote:Had mine refurbished last May and it was leaking again by Xmas. Just had it done again (under warranty thankfully) I hope this time it lasts a bit longer.

As for turnaround time, dropped it in to my local independent Tuesday morning for the rack removing and sending off for refurbishment and it was back with us Saturday lunchtime.
So I just want to make sure I get this right - this was a refurb from a used unit and not a Citroen Main Dealer new replacement? Reason being is Citroen are offering me another year's Extended Warranty for about £250. As I've already had my rack replaced with a new one under warranty - you can see why I went into cardiac arrest mode when you said yours started leaking again! :)
It was my original rack.

Back in April/May last year they took it off, sent it away for refurb.

The refurb company gave a 2 yr guarantee and initially offered to replace it with one they had in stock but it turned out they didn't have one so it went off again. They also paid the labour and for a loan car.
