Re: Bergen Xantia Activa CT
A better bet/technique with a V6 is an Electric Supercharger ....they are about $1k now and getting better at battery use/motors.
I still think a better exhaust (manifolds/size) would show great improvements for both the V6 and the 2ltr turbo cars together with a remap.
The Xantia due to its weight and being FWD, It will never be a Traffic Light racer, it is a fast road car and should imho be developed with that in mind....Torque, Brakes and Grip 1st

Agreed, a gentleman's GT in the true meaning; a Grand Tourer... That's why the V6 works so well in an Activa...Stickyfinger wrote: The Xantia due to its weight and being FWD, It will never be a Traffic Light racer, it is a fast road car and should imho be developed with that in mind....Torque, Brakes and Grip 1st
A really highly tuned turbo can make it a bit of a hooligan and that does not entirely fit with the overall ethos of the car...

Re: Bergen Xantia Activa CT
No pictures today but a minor update.
- Audio cables are now back in the car and carpet in situ once again.
Unfortunately the install of cables made me realize I'm lacking the factory tweeter covers and midbass covers in the doors.
I might make custom speaker mounts so then it won't matter.
- New radiator ordered.
- welded the pieces I cut out of the trunk into one piece with a little lip. so now it is ready to go back in.

Re: Bergen Xantia Activa CT
The summer shoes in winter land.
17 inches, prefer these over the ones just below.
17 inches
15 inch Track day wheels. Sticky rubber
Frontseats back in. Carpets being cleaned and still a bit dirty as you can see. At one point in time the owner decided to haul hay in the trunk !
My youngest thought it was fun to clean carpets and see how much grime that poured into the bucket. Black oily looking water. Forgot to take a picture of that .
Backseats not yet in as I have decided I want speakers in the back doors and need to get more speaker wire . Using DLS 2x2.5mm2.
"Forgot" to take a picture of the little trunk piece I welded back together. Not my finest work , perhaps when i sand down the welds a bit

Getting there, good [clean] work going on, this will be a nice looking car when you finish.
I still cannot get my head into the large wheel thing however, but what do I know, I am old and sad. What size tyre are you going to use ?

Re: Bergen Xantia Activa CT
I am glad you finally admit to the old and sad bit (j/k). To be honest I am not a fan of too big either, there need to be meat on the wheel. Too low a profile and it looks like someone took a roll of electric tape and made a pass .. .
But on this car all the rims came with. Personally I like the winter rims the best. Those are 16 inches and if I am not mistaken they are sporting 205/50 -16 (it might even be 55) . The 17 inch ones are 225/45-17 .
18s I think would be too big on a Xantia. I've seen a few , it looks modern but not quite my cup of tea.
As to what size I will end up with in tyres I am not sure. I visited this one page ; http://www.superdekk.no/produktsok/dj67096 (my reg number - so the car in question is a Xantia. In the pull down menu its says produkttype, same as in english. you can choose Dekk (tyre), Felger (rims) or batteri (battery). Dekkstørrelser when choosing Dekk is Tyresize.
I think 225/55 - 16 would be a nice choice for a 40 year old youngling
