As you say Mike, just clipped in, a careful tug will have it out Hans...

I love having this forum. In the time i needed to get the fuel leak sorted I had a reply here and i was ready to move on .. Thumbs up :)

finally removed the mess of cables ... reason for the previous owner wanted them was:
1. expensive speaker cables
2. all essential Pioneer signal cables.

I sms'ed him and asked to keep the power cable as i didnt fancy pulling a new one from the engine and all the way back. Got the thumb so that was a bonus.

Now i need to source some decent cables and put back in :p
And i need to sell some VW parts to finance the parts i need for the activa ..

Wow! That's a rather snazzy (neat and attractive) body kit on it Hans, and some nice wheels too...

Cool! 8-)

Sliver suits the Xantia well, not many cars look good in sliver but the Xantia is a notable exception :D

That body kit looks really good. Snow's not so good but i guess that comes with the geography :)

Find a body kit first that looks as good as that one. Looks like a factory fit to me. Citroen did make one it seems.

Dean's old Activa (also in silver so maybe it IS just those cars that look good with their kit on :) ) had one fitted iwhich if I remember rightly the new owner removed so maybe there's one knocking about. I'm sure it was on the 'Bay at one time.

The previous owner of this car worked at the importer here in Norway, aptly named Citroen Norge. He said it was a pain to source the body kit and that it was somewhat expensive at the time.
The car has got its fair share of scratches and dings. Some will buff out, some will need a little more attention.
At the moment progress is at a complete standstill due to the fact that my daily driver is still on summer rubber while it is 13c below and snow outside. so I cannot get over to my uncles place.
A normal winter here is mostly wet and was up until a week ago. . so why change tires :p
To get to work I ride with my mother as she and I work in very close proximity. She got an electric car so no need for the congestion charges etc and I do not have to pay for a parking space.

Anyways. I'm selling Volkswagen bits to finance the Citroen, unfortunately it is rather slow at the moment. Perhaps I will have to actually sell some of the good bits :D

The thing that worries me about a body kit is the potential for rust to develop unseen under it....

Have you checked what things are like underneath it Hans?

Weather here has only just begun to get like winter... Winter tyres have not been at all necessary so far!

i have not peeled off the kit. Hopefully i get to spend some time in the garage tomorrow and get to have a look see then. The right side skirt is loose so it will not be too difficult. Will also remove
the radiator in preparation for a new one. Seeing Sticky's work I would love to remove the motor just to get the thing clean, but that will have to wait until I'm starting the engine tune up . (Also would love to
bring back the green colors to the engine. Spheres are supposed to be green !!
(The Xantia got winter tyres on.. very tempting to take it out for a spin but scary with coolant leak and watercooled turbo .. )

Finalized the car deal today. Delivered the audio equipment to the previous owner. In return I filled my C8 with 3 sets of summer tyres. 17 inch, 16 inch and a 15 inch set
with track day rubber. I also got some parts for the activa setup. But being a kid in a mans body I am most excited over what is on my desk in the following picture.

Alongside some new injectors and ofc a new map, these bits are supposed to handle 340-360 bhp
The downpipe is 3 inches so I will need a few meters of 3 inch pipe to complete the exhaust.
