suspension failure and lexia

I have just inspected the airbags that were took of my car very very closely and i cant see any fault with them at all in fact they dont look worn at all but yet they choose to deflate at odd inervals and car was sinking right down to its axle..so i could have got them replaced and no doubt would still have had the problem so im glad in a way i have rid the car of them and changed to the springs...you can keep throwing money at this problem as by reading the forums on it owners already have..took mine for a good test run today (30 miles) and no probs.and cant tell any diference.very happy

When you change to springs you will see...Dashboard warning

This will be illuminated because either the system is defective OR the body computer has noticed that the suspension is missing. This can either be completely ignored or you can have the vehicle configuration altered so that the body computer does not look for pneumatic suspension. This reconfiguration can only be carried out by using the Citroen Lexia or Diagbox diagnostic equipment. Your main dealer 'may' carry this out for you if they know how, but your Citroen Specialist may be the better bet. Reconfiguration should take no longer than a half hour. Please note i went to my usual citroen dealers and they refused to do it ..said it altered spec of the car..so if thats the case why has citroen reverted BACK to springs. must tell you something

Yes true, Citroen covered replacement of these I think if mileage was under 120k due to the common failings of the air springs, or at least 80% of the repair costs I think.

Apart from acknowledging the failings of the system generally and going back to the electronics / software - some elements of the BSI are factory coded to the specific vehicle type and options (outside of comfort options etc) so for new models that have the new standard springs they will have programmed all relevant areas of the BSI to reflect this. Without a definitive answer on what is changed or modified, added or removed (including wiring and additional electronic components, we won't know for sure.

Ok here we go guys...installed Diagbox on pc today (boxing day) and got rid of the annoying "Sevice Warning" also the annoying "suspension failure" warning am now a happy sausage..but landed up with a flat battery OH Sh*t.

All done and dusted now..service light gone and suspension failure gone..now off to celebrate my air suspension woes that dont exist anymore.Job done.
