Any offers. Big Fat zero so far today. My only shutter click has been a 72 Reg Toyota Aygo, deposited in the most appropriate thread.

Less than 5 minutes walking this morning and I'd managed to photograph this lot :)

Nine of them are probably quite nice, one of them probably contains much pain and suffering. Mind if I have a Pot Noodle instead ?

What! No spirit of adventure?
If you do go ahead and eat them save some of each so the coroner knows what finished you off.

Hands up if you have allowed yourself the youthful joy of opening a conker shell this autumn season. :-D

I did pick one up from outside my house. I think the vikings dropped it, it was a Norse chestnut.

Beamish 2022.JPG
North Yorkshire and Beamish once again. Journey up, mostly at 50-60 mph as that was the predominant speed of the traffic, showed half full at about 490 miles but after a day up and down the north dales mpg dropped to 64.4. Sorry about the fuzzy picture, I think the camera lens must have been steamed up. Came home yesterday in all that torrential rain, could hardly see a thing.

They are getting on with the '50s town now, they have a typical miners house of the time, he had a 14" Bakelite Bush TV of a model I remember delivering new! Also an original Kenwood Chef, apparently the miners were on good money in the '50s. There are a couple of other shops, one a ladies hairdressers - Perm 3/6d!

They are rebuilding a cinema there in the near future among other things.

The Ryhope cinema looks somewhat familiar.
DSCF3743.JPG

Spotted these on my way to my daughter's. The around the corner was a tiny girl, probably three years old, dragging a huge bag of them, she couldn't lift it and was struggling dragging it, those in the pictures had fallen out.

I had seen some of the local small kids heaping something up under a tree yesterday. Obvious now that it was conkers and they have thousands of them.
