No photo's but there were loads of dead deer by the roadside when I was last in Northallerton.
Must have been a dozen in a fairly short stretch.

I put in 'the woods' but as you may have noticed they have just felled all the trees, some larch infection, so there is not a lot of cover for the deer now.

First attempt at slide copying, taken about ten years to get round to it. Tidying up a bit I found some slides chucked in a drawer.

I want to think that this was taken in York but it is more likely Gothenburg. Not many wear Swedish clogs in York.

Lidl recently did a Negative/Slide convertor for £25. Basically it is a specialised 'scanner' that scans the negatives (or slides) and then allows you to save them to your computer. I bought one for myself, and another for a friend.

Right, I've just realised that the one I posted is only really a backlit film/slide holder. You need to use a phone camera to actually copy the image!! A bit misleading but I think this is the right thing that connects via USB:

Yes, that looks like it. The one from Lidl was £25, own make (SilverCrest), and has a 3 year warranty.

Lovely moment Peter and an excellent POTD I presume its a Roe , they don't keep their Bambi spots very long. Only seen one very young one with spots, and yes it was in someones rather large garden without camera to hand.

I used a projector and screen.

I have loads of 6x6cm slides and scanners for those are very pricey.

That's how I did it last time, went very well until I downloaded them on to my computer and they all dissapeared! Mine are 35mm and I have hundreds, can't remember where or when some of them were taken. Sadly some of the best ones have deteriorated with loss of some colours.

Yes, it is. It has the ability (in the software) to adjust the colour balance, so if you have a negative that has had a colour distortion you should be able to compensate for it.

Thanks James.
I do recall you mentioning it some time ago and meant to get one, then as usual forgot. Will keep a look out for them as using a projector and screen degrades the images somewhat.
