Is that what a Yorkshireman puts his canvas on when he's painting?

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Just round the corner from the site of the Britishvolt Battery Factory is Cambois itself....One street behind the railway facing the North Sea Coast.
It is now a very colourful street, maybe they all got their exteriors painted and brightened up so they wouldn't kick up much fuss about planning for the battery factory. They didn't do the same job for the miners welfare hall in the middle very dull in comparison.
Over the dunes we have Cambois Beach Extending up to where the Wansbeck enters the North sea. Never been there before

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
An unusual visitor to our feeding station this morning. Unfortunately I was upstairs and tried to photograph it through a dirty double glazed window with the sun on it at full zoom. The results were grim but if you look hard enough you can make out the shadowy outline of a bright green parakeet!!
This is what they look like in reality:

Say hello to Teddy, one of my customer's dogs. Apparently he walked in from the garden looking like this and couldn't understand what all the fuss was about. He's not the brightest nor most motivated dog in the world

I didn't think they came this far north, I've hand fed a few at St James Park, apple seems to be their favourite.mickthemaverick wrote: 24 Jun 2022, 11:48 An unusual visitor to our feeding station this morning. There are plenty of them In Newcastle, Gosforth Park and the Town Moor are favourite places for them, you hear them before you see them.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Seen a few in Gosforth but a long time ago now.
Started putting some tools away and found, among a lot of other long forgotten stuff this motherboard.
No recollection of buying it.
Some seeds arrived yesterday. When I opened the packet I wondered where they were. Like a bit of dust in the bottom.
Put one seed in each of 50 pots. So small I cut some kitchen roll up, wet the pieces and used them to pick a seed up to transfer to each pot. Fiddly.
First poppy that thinks it is a carnation. (On the left).

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Seven Trent Water sent me an email suggesting water saving methods, included in the mail they offered some freebies, water saving planting gel a bag for in the wc to reduce the amount of the flush, some little brown disks they say are starters for seeds and some seeds.
Popped a couple of seeds in those disks last Saturday and up they come as shoots already, sunflowers these, a couple of packs of wildflowers seeds too.

The view from today's flask-opening location deliberately engineered, and Nescafe Gold Blend Roasterie isn't too unpalatable.
