Just went outside to check the garage light was off and was greeted by an amazing sunset. Couldn't decide which picture I preferred so here are both: :-D

Our random wild flower planting for insect attraction is working a treat and looking very pretty in the process! :-D

Found this underground while transplanting some more doomed flowers.

I thought that there was a possibility of it being a chrysalis, as I dug up a similar one when I was about ten years old. Put it in a jar and took it home.
The following day had a very unusual and pretty black and purple moth.

Curiosity got the better of me as it rattled and disappointingly proved to be what I had suspected all along.

Haven't seen peanuts in shells for - a very long time.

Also discovered an unusual bug, probably one of the horde munching my plants into oblivion.

Zoomed.
Zoomed.
Phone photo so crap as usual, it focused on the leaves to the left, ignoring the focus point I marked.

Leitisvatn is the largest lake in the Faroe Islands. It is situated on the island of Vágar between the municipalities of Sørvágur and Vágar.

Visited the Faroes for a couple of weeks summer 1979, didn't go to that bit, but did visit another of it's lakes at Saxsun which made it onto this postage stamp...

The only picture I took today on my visit to Peter down in Dorset. Unfortunately the trip was not the success we had hoped as we could not get the Cars to talk to the Computer with either my or Peter's VCI but at least he now has a working laptop to use if Jim from Easydiagnostics is able to work out what is going on!! :)

I thought I recognized that  There is a separate traffic light to let the people in the half a dozen houses by the mill in and out.

Thanks for trying anyway Mick

Enormous caterpillar chomping away on the poppy seed head.
Stupid phone focused past it. I despair of it. Took an hour to get it to send the photo to my laptop.

Left it untouched as it may turn into a nice butterfly, although it does look like a boring cabbage white.

This has pair turned up. Not perfect by any means. One has a good definition of the stamp Northern but has a damaged lip. The other the definition of Northern tails off after "north".

REgards Neil

Once I get them here I will put up pics of me slicing them and setting them around our wishing well. All of the bricks I have are reclaimed ones 50/60 years old with gnarly bits so they will match - one way or another whether they like it or not!
