Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Since my last visit to my container a couple of weeks ago some numptys have installed a parking restriction sign outside our yard. All very well to cover themselves for the yellow line along the road, but you'd think they would be a bit more careful about positioning the sign:
Apart from the fact that the sign is obscured when the yard gate is open there is also the problem that the sign post prevents the gate going right back to allow engagement of the bottom safety bolt which was designed to drop neatly behind the kerb!!:
Two feet, sorry - 609.6mm, to the left would have been fine!
Morons!!!

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Tulips emerging.
Nice but odd as I planted daffodidles there, two dozen of them but only a few tulips showing. Also this one. Who put that there?
A dismal show compare to this of one of my son's neighbours, just been round there with a parcel for him
He does spend most of his time keeping that up to scratch though.
Also near there this enormous white tulip. Never seen a white one before and certainly none as big although the size is not very clear here.

Went and told her and she knew but blithely drove off half an hour later without doing anything about it.
Which is where I was when she drove off, painting the fence - again.10mbc wrote:I should get into gardening...

When I was working on the ICI pipeline I stayed a couple of nights in Peebles and that bridge looks very much like the one there but I don't remember the tower?

After following your clue and my intuition I found this:

I used to be indecisive, now I'm not so sure!
I used to ride on two wheels, but now I need all four!

Yes you are on the ball there Mick.
I see your Happy Easter post...and on the little wins column today, wandering around Innerleithen taking some photos, I was on one side of the street and a lady was on the other side of the street, smiled at me and said Happy Easter. Yes nice touch.

Do you follow this thread

always something interesting turns up...
This as an aside to the Beatles appearance at Dingwall town hall as part of the same 5 date Scottish Tour in January 1963, in today's "County in the Spotlight", Ross-shire where they attracted 19 punters
No reports of how many they packed into the gig at the Elgin Folk Music Club in the two Red Shoes Ballroom.

In chronological order we have,
a Northumberland dry stone wall and a vista to the Sea;
impending doom;
Blue skies to the left of me, clouds to the right;
Not an escapee, a wild black rabbit.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
This, on my way to the postbox in the next village. Must have passed it hundreds of times and it never registered. What caught my eye was the "Email. Text. Phone." banner and I was curious as to how that would work.
None the wiser.
A sad indictment of our society that 'they' need to destroy things in this manner.
While it is doubtful it will be needed much, it could be a lifesaver for someone.
