I finally might have a few things to contribute here as I recently picked up a decent transparency scanner so can get my film properly digitised.

Here's one I was really happy with from the Goodwood Festival of Speed 2017.

Image

My aim here had been to get a photo which looked like it was straight out of the 1960s...and I think I pulled that off.

Shot on a Konica AutoReflex T3 with Ilford Delta 3200.

Same camera a little earlier right before Kodak stopped producing Kodachrome, here is one of the things I miss most from our house in Badenscoth - we got some truly epic sunsets there.

Image

I do miss that house, for all it was cramped, cold, draughty and had absolutely chronic damp issues.

I adopted a low tech approach to digitising a few slides from boxes and boxes of them taken by my dad in the 1960's early 70's. Projector and screen and took pictures of the screen with my compact camera.

So tonight I join in with a July 1972 sunset over Melvaig 10 miles up a single track road from Gairloch from my "magic lantern" collection. Love the old fashioned caravan.

I am going to give that a go one day.
The screen has been in my sitting room for just over a year now. Progress is slow.

I tried digitising an old monochrome of my sister and I on the seafront at Broadstairs. I don't know what I did but it didn't quite go to plan: :-D

I have just been outside burning leaves, weeds and bushes that I didn't like the look of.
Not a professional bonfire like yours but spread over about 100'.

I'm sure my neighbours appreciated it.

Not quite

"White flags of winter chimneys
Waving truce against the moon
In the mirrors of a modern bank
From the window of a hotel room"

Is there anything more interesting than the burning embers of a fading sun in the mirrors of an M&S. :?:

That was before I moved to Washy. I did see it in the sixties, came for a wedding and it was just in development then.
I had to check as the photo looked a lot like where we lived at first, New Herrington, just off Shiney Row.
It looked a lot like that until not too long ago, it is a country park now.
We rented a former miner's cottage, was a two minute walk to where I worked at the time but three months later the company moved to Washington and we got a brand new council house close to work.

My POD, just seen this:-

A nice bridge for Neil!
wynch3.jpg.gallery.jpg
Wynch bridge, near Low Force, Middleton in Teesdal.
Not far from High force, where I met up with Mick and Bob on their grand tour.

Chilly this morning.

Been there a while.

Low Force

Will have to have a trip there in better weather rather than an armchair tour.

It was a nice day when we visited Steve. The area was also in the news when a local farmer picked up a visitors car with his tractor following an altercation. Its too tranquil a environment to get steamed up surely...

I completely misread that post Neil and assumed you were visiting Steve and that oddly he appeared to have moved out into the country with a charging point!! :-D
