Re: Picture(s) of the day....
One of our neighbours when we were kids had a Rowan tree in his front garden, berries like that in their thousands, we used to pick them and throw them at each other, not edible though I don't think.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Heard some noise out the back:-
He is scooping up water into wheelie bins and dragging it to another storm drain.
Which I suspect is also clogged as the water level near the other drain is rising.
Where the white car is.
They do come round and clear the storm drains but I suspect that those have been forgotten - out of sight, out of mind.
Clogged storm drain probably flooding the houses as happened about twenty years ago, much worse though as the whole of that area was flooded. He is scooping up water into wheelie bins and dragging it to another storm drain.

They eventually worked out that it was just feeding back to where they had scooped it up and are emptying it down the road out the front.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
POTD has done alright today, only been outdoors on brief dog walking duties in the rain and tonight in an intermittant gale. No shutter clicks today.
So I'll rake the archives, and come up with a selection from a randomly a selected page, of the 518 pages so far on POTD, for some mild entertainment.
The page selected is...
360.
I'll give myself the option of selecting one picture submitted on that page to bring forward to our rather damp 5th October 2021.
Back in a moment...
Regards Neil

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
As a point of mild interest I thought I'd look back at page 360 and remind myself of the original posting. I tapped in 360 in the box and got a page with none of the pictures you had used!! .............Then I realised I have my forum thread ordered in reverse so that page 1 is the current page for me, so I deducted 360 from 518 and keyed in 158 to find the page you used!! I must remember that in future!!

That reminded me of a joke I told this morning.mickthemaverick wrote: ↑06 Oct 2021, 10:41 Literally a picture of the day, finished at 10.15 last night having started at 11 in the morning!!:
Two Irishmen go into a pub and order a couple of shots of Bushmills. "We are celebrating", said one to the barman. "What are you celebrating?", he replied. "We managed to complete a 100 piece jigsaw puzzle in just two weeks", responded the Irishman. "That is nothing special", says the barman. Both Irishmen chorus "According to the box it normally takes 3 - 5 years!".
