That is 8 New Row Boroughbridge, Peter. Good job I didnt jump in with Thirsk :-D

Boroughbridge is a nice place to stop off at. for a number of reasons.
1 There is a Morrisons probably less than half a mile off the A1, good services alternative for the A1(M) traveller cheap petrol and supermarket picnic.

2. Lovely car park by the river/canal to eat said picnic at.

3. Its a nice quaint little town anyway for a cup of coffee and cake, or pub lunch.

4. Its very close to Aldborough which has An AA Village Sign and a very large Church Clock

5, It is also very close to Lower Dunsforth which has St Mary's and its Red Church Clock less than 20 in the country.

Well done Neil. We stopped off there last week, had to drive around almost the whole town before we found it.

Changed the n/s spring just over a week ago, didn't have time to try it before we went to Yorkshire, tried to go out in it yesterday, gave a terrific clatter and several 'boings' just jacked the o/s up and this is what I found. The bottom half is missing completely, I hope it didn't hit anyone. Is this a common occurrence?

Sorry - haven't been here for a while. One from a couple of decades ago.

Get yourself on TV
All you have to do is buy a landcrab

Here's one of our Family Landcrabs, up beyond Gairloch, Ross and Cromarty in the early 1970's. Image captured from an old slide via the magic lantern.

Gairloch! Aahhhh...good memories, of Golden Sands bay, dunes and camping, and the extraordinary Gairloch Hotel. And Melvaig Pottery (an old school house) a bit further up the road, where a young couple (from daaan Saaaf) made lovely coffee mugs . . . and Porno-pots. (You'll need to look those up.)

Always facied a Land Crab, but never got larger than a couple of 1300's. The sheer simplicity of the dash is quite stylish in itself, and a bean-counter's delight. All it needed was some slightly less naff switches.

We stayed at Melvaig on that Hoiiday Chris! as dug up for one of my previous POTD contributions

Need a picture. I noticed the views were up to 128,000 probably on Friday. Since then nearly 1000 viewers with nothing new to look at...

It is Picture of the Day after all....and needs at least one new thing every day to live up to its name. :-D

After you...

Over a year ago, Davie up in Macduff asked "What would the first thing be that you'd do once the coronavirus is over ?" Well, it's not over yet, but my response was - "Go out for a curry". Last night was the first time me and Mrs Bobins had eaten out anywhere in a year - so here's a picture........ and that's just for starters :-D

You didn't follow that up with a Pelican Curry did you? Delicious I'm told but the bill is enormous.

Over to Mick for something even worse than that.....
