Although the Telford iron bridge is older it no longer carries a road open to motor traffic.
Ours had a 7.5T weight limit on it or several years but late last century much work was carried out on it using carbon fibre to strengthen it and now, although they're discouraged from doing so, it can happily carry full-size artic lorries across it
