and not even with the aid of binoculars could you make out its livery.

but having discovered Flightradar 24 I know exactly what it was and what journey it was on.

This is it, and it was on its way from SDF to CGN

You are too kind Neil, not deliberately taken, just selected 'stills' from my bike video camera...

It's a good bit of kit - when the lens is not covered in water droplets as it was yesterday ;)

Did you know the airport codes off the top of your head Mick?

Looked up SDF which seemed an odd code for Louisville Muhammad Ali International Airport.

If I remember correctly it's for Standford or Stamford field Louisville. I did know it because it was one of the fields that we used to plan a round USA by light aircraft trip, which was meant to have happened in 2002 and never did because Bob met his now second wife!! :-D

Continued my clear out theme today, having sold my Honda (hands up who noticed the change of signature?) I decided to try and get the workshop back to where it was before the blood rushed to my head and I bought the bikes. If you remember this is how it was:
Own work
Own work
So having sold one bike I have spent today getting this far:
Own work
Own work
Own work
Own work
Getting there!! :-D

Yes Jim, ex army, my landlady purchased 30 of them from the MOD after the evacuation of Iraq. It was only used once from manufacture to her buying it and was almost brand new as regards the seals etc when I rented it. Everything has remained bone dry and not a sign of any insect or arachnid entry whatsoever. Brilliant for £150 a month. :-D

This was the scene as I walked through town late this afternoon. The mist was rolling across the floodplain towards the ruins. :)
