Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Beacon Hill in Campbell Park, just off of Milton Keynes City Centre taken today during the MK Autumn Half Marathon...
Normally, from this high point you can see glorious countryside for miles around as it's the highest point in MK... But not today!!!
There is indeed a beacon up here and maybe a good job it's not needed to send an urgent message as it would never get through all the clag to the next beacon station!
The climb up to this point in the race is a right slog.. a good mile and a half of it...
Worth it for the stunning views on a clear day
From here you can see that Milton Keynes is not all concrete and roundabouts and is in fact 90% parkland It's what makes it such a special place...

It was slightly damp in Northumberland across the haughs, but blue skies and fluffy white clouds above. Started raining Friday night and all Saturday, but a beautiful morning today and for pretty much the rest of the day.

A very sad looking 'wallflower' this morning.
There was another actually growing out of the mortar between two bricks but that blew away in recent gales.
Downpour hasn't helped this one in the slightest.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
and this post is my pre 12345 post. Have to ponder posting something meaningful and profound, or ridiculous, or maybe just a ordinary response to something interesting posted by someone else in the natural flow of the forum, for my next post to mark the 12345 occasionmickthemaverick wrote: ↑05 Oct 2020, 10:22 The number watcher in me triggered when I went on ebay this morning :
Of course the latter course of action relies on others putting up interesting stuff, so post away and give me options

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
We have a roofer coming today to repair our dormer flashing so SWMBO had to get her car out of the garage to clear the drive for his van. This gave me the rare opportunity to snap our complete fleet together:

Taking the trouble to post up your pic of your red fleet has taken POTD views through the 108,000 barrier!

There are another three, two of them C3s.
The diggermen have invaded our street again, lories, JCBs and barriers all over. Wonder what it is this time?

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
The interesting bit was how loud it was.
Mostly unseen but it is packed with hundreds of sparrows all chirping away and can be heard from 100' away.
There is one in the photo but I can't find it now. Phone picture so the usual rubbish.

Well you've done a few birds-in-hand recently Steve only right to do a few in a bush!
This was attached to a very classy car on an outing this morning. It qualifies for a couple of threads so I will spread it around.

I've just noticed that the red Audi over the road is a '70' too.
