"Germany’s Sebastian Motsch is a very talented individual – a guy who loves cars so much that he spends some of his free time imagining the impossible cars we all dream about. The quality of his renders puts most magazines or websites to shame. These cars of his look like OEM vehicles that could be for sale tomorrow in dealer forecourts.
All the photoshop conversions on his site, VirtualModels.org, take a basic car design and rev it to 10,000-rpm."
He's even done a Morris Marina....

I had to drive to Bayford to find our local conkers so I would say they are not as spikey, but that's because they are BIGGER!!

Excellent. The one I have use of at the moment is a FUJIFine PIX SD2500 with up to 18X zoom, not in its first flush of youth, and requiring 4 AA batteries which have just run out, so I need some Wilko's finest to keep it going.

During the week I have received two new batteries, a charger and a new 2Gig CF microdrive for the Canon camera. My old 360Meg drive which had the pictures on it failed and I could not re format it at all. So it has now been superceded and I am waiting for a CF card to USB adapter which will enable me to download the pictures direct to my windows 10 laptop, hopefully I will be fully equipped in time for the Stroll which is now only 3 weeks away!! Watch this space! :-D

Choices, choices. What would I rather have - a large brick on wheels, a thristy Jagwarrr with a broken window and worn out interior, or a Merc with an equally worn out interior ? I'll settle for the Vincent motorcycle they had indoors if it's OK with you :)

Are you on tour Bobins.....original work....surely means you were in Thornton-le-Dale recently. Auctions online telephone and commission only and no attendees from the general public.

Had a couple of days in North Yorkshire, so passed through T-le-D and stopped off to look at the handful of cars outside and peer through the mucky glass to see what they had inside. I passed on having an ice cream from the seller at the crossroads as the concept of £2.50 for a one scoop ice cream cone didn't fill me with enthusiasm ! I'm sure it was very nice ice cream though 8-[

Your camera memory card must be overflowing! POTD welcomes holiday snaps too :-D

Mathewsons have a large unit on the industrial estate on the outskirts of Pickering new since the last time I was down where a good deal of the auction vehicles are held prior to sale....viewing by appointment only. Sales days saw the village absolutely chock-a-block with visitors, and sale cars in all parts round the village hall and jammed in where they could be in the existing garage site.

I saw a queue of classic cars outside some years ago and thought it must have been a auction, that was before it was on TV, parking there is not easy but last year we did stop and have a look round. They have a museum there but it was closed when we stopped. Anyone been round it?

Yes you get access all areas on a normal auction and viewing days, and like I say the cars and bikes are dotted all over it wherever there is space. They have expanded into the industrial unit on the outskirts of Pickering.
