Drones over a certain weight may require licencing, while any that are lighter may be exempt. Something this small should be OK. Not a long flying time, and it uses the phone memory (if paired) to record the video, but it might be worth a look;

Where the quest sprang from......I have said this before on the electric vehicles spotting thread I love it when a random FCF thread results in real life odd behaviour! Looks like a great day out anyway Chris and the car looks the part!

I was given a Mavic Pro drone a couple of months ago - it'd probably only been flown for under an hour previous to me getting it. I'd never have bought one out of my own money but was grateful to have been given it. It was quite easy to get to grips with, but I have to say - the appeal has quickly worn off. We're severely restricted on where we can fly down here - can't fly in a built-up area (50m/30m distance restrictions), can't fly on South Downs National Park land, nor National tRust, nor the local Cowdray estate. Fortunately I've been able to fly it a bit at work and at another site, but I have to say - the appeal of flying a drone soon wears off. Once I've flown over some trees and farmland and had a look at the odd feature or two then there's not much else I can do. Of course, if you don't give a stuff about restrictions or the law then there's loads more you can do.

If anyone else wants a quest I have laid one down on "Remember these all our yesterdays thread". It involves seeking out a 70's or 80's copy of Car Mechanics and photographing Barry Cade's "Tricks of the Trade" or better still "Barry Cade's Garage Casebook" which may just be a figment of my imagination.

Seek out those magazines from the attic and post up the image of Barry Cade!

And now my contribution to the autumn beauty in the countryside, cheating a bit because I took this picture a couple of years ago in November but I just loved the suns rays: (click on the picture for best view)

These were photographed yesterday. I can only offer a lowly 5 points for correctly identifying them though :)

Its good Mick, but we really need to get under the covers of the magazine, to land on "Barry's" regular feature headed up with his image, to fully satisfy the quest. The magazine will reveal whether "Barry Cade's Gagage Casebook" was aan actual thing, or subsumed into "Barry Cade's Tricks of the Trade". A matter of great importance of course :-D

In the meantime I'll have a dabble in Bobins' autumn fruits. Strangely enough I wondered what a similar sort of red berry on a tree was when I was walking the dog the other day. Had a bit of a maple type leaf but the "berries" were very squashable and had plenty of red juice to coat your hands. It was at a "picnic" area so no doubt some non-native ornamental thing.
