Good question Ryan... We do, around here, have spates of older cars being leafletted by people interested in acquiring them for scrap and indeed some old cars have been known to 'disappear' from outside houses...

Hence Bluebell always lives in her garage away from such prying eyes ;)

Not talking about your Satsumas, Clementines, or the less popular genuine Tangerines, but when was the last time you had a proper orange.

POTD needs a picture of the Day every day to maintain it's credibility.
Rescued today with a trio of Oranges, unexpectedly acquired.

About six months. I bought a net of proper oranges. They are too much like hard work and I have reverted to the small 'easy peelers'. I don't consume so many now but used to eat six a day.

As an apprentice I used to eat three or four Outspan or Jaffa 'proper' oranges a day, along with three pints of Jersey milk.

We've got a few young orange trees, one of which is bearing fruit for the first time. They'll ripen off and be sweet enough to eat after New Year.

Magic :) Yum! I had fruit bearing oranges and lemons in my garden when I lived in Cyprus... An orange straight off the tree is a real joy :D

And a freshly harvested lemon in your G and T is good too ;)

Yes, Jim. I like that the harvesting season for oranges here in Andalucia coincides with the cooler winter months of January through to March.
Straight off the tree the juice is naturally chilled as well as tasting delicious.

I was always fascinated by the orange trees in Cyprus Mac, they could have ripe fruit and blossom on them simultaneously...

Or was I imagining that after too many bottles of Keo beer I wonder? Can't think of any other plant or tree that does that...

I've not seen that here on orange trees, in fact the blossom appearing in Spring seems to mark the end of the useful life of the fruit on the tree.
A different story completely though with lemon trees. They can simultaneously hold new blossom, the previous year's fruit, fruit from the year before that, and also have blossoms not only limited to Spring.
