You mean something like this Neil?:
No need for that, all you need do is catch a train down to me, I'll run you to our mancave where you can borrow our series 1 V8 SWB Landy which you can drive up to MattB's, via 3 petrol fill ups on the way, borrow his long trailer, go collect the bricks and drop them off to your place then reverse the procedure. Shimples!!!

Nice can do plan there Mick

I have provided POTD with the Ryhope Angel captured on a very sunny Sunday. This is today's Spittal Angel 70 odd miles further North on a less sunny Wednesday afternoon.
The aforementioned Ryhope Angel May 2018

I love magnolias and that's a cracker Mick
I spotted a rather lovely one during my morning run today...
Such a shame they have such a short life...

Sorry to say it looks like this year's magnolia season may be shorter lived than usual, two of the flower heads have begun to shed petals already!!

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
I'm struggling to get my pics to a size acceptable to FCF. I've started a post umpteen times but been told they're too big or whatever so give up . I use the Lit photo app on my Android phone to get 'em down to less than 300kb which is ok for other forums but this'un seems to have height & width restrictions or whatever. It seems like I should crop them but what a faff.
I'm a bit of a Luddite with this stuff so how do I easily achieve piccies that comply?

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Vic, If you put your pics onto a windows PC then follow this sequence you will end up with postable images:
1. Open your original image in Paint and you will see part of the image:
Then click on the resizing tool, indicated by the green arrow here:
You will open a window showing the size set at 100%:
Now change the 100 to for example 25% and ok, the image will be reduced. Save that with a different filename eg 'original mk2' or something. You can repeat the resizing as many times as you like within reason so you can always go 50% then another 50% rather than a straightforward 25% as I have done. Once you get the original to a size that fits on your screen save that as 'original final' or something, then use that image to post on the forum. the above example looks like this:
and the final image:
I hope that helps, have a play!!

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
I've just bought a new W11 laptop to replace my old W10 model but was hoping to cut out the 'middleman' & post photos direct from the camera aka my Android phone.
I'd love to contribute more piccies to this forum but life's too short to faff about changing machines when the original should be able to do it.
I'll have another butchers at ways to comply with my Android phone but seriously, what's so special about this place that it won't accept photos others will? I've managed it before but dog knows how I did it.

Re: Picture(s) of the day....
Yes it needs to be made easy. I dont have a mobile phone and havent a clue about posting pics up in a forum post from a phone. I'm sure the more tech savvy members like Marc (Givemeabreak) and Mike (XantiaV6) could help.Vic Evans wrote: ↑23 Mar 2024, 17:17 I've just bought a new W11 laptop to replace my old W10 model but was hoping to cut out the 'middleman' & post photos direct from the camera aka my Android phone.

Meantime if you look at the posting screen and select attachments, and then add files there is an option called
upload from mobile. Never tried it.
